He shot to fame for playing the role of Naksh Singhaniya in the popular daily soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He was also seen in the flick Uvaa. Currently, he is seen as one of the celebrity contestant in Colors' popular show Bigg Boss season 10.

He is a popular commercial model and a successful television actor who has featured in advertisements of Reebok, Hero Cycles, Honda, Priyagold Biscuits, Samsung, BlackBerry etc.
If not an actor, he would have been working in his father's business in Amritsar. He is a pampered child in real life too. His parents are like his friends and belongs to a jovial family. But unlike his onscreen character, he is closer to his father. His father took the strong step of shifting base to Mumbai so that Rohan could concentrate on work.
