Also for some reason I just found it way too disturbing that they were showing a little kid like Sahil see all those visuals of Shivaay manhandling Anika...didn't sit right...expose karna tha toh baaki saari family ko dikhaa dete...bacche ko beech mein kyun adaa diya? Was that supposed to make me feel sorry for Shivaay? Instead I just couldn't get past the fact that a kid shouldn't have been subjected to any of this.

I could have actually enjoyed Shivaay being exposed and shamed if not for Anika's instant sacrificial avatar today...I get that she has always protected him but a gap was needed before jumping into this mode...that she can berate him in the same breath for what he did and then jump to protect him from other people berating him for it? 😕😆...and downplaying the whole thing as "Log bure nahin hote, haalaat bure hote hain?" 😕
So what was the point of all this? The Oberois will now oscillate b/w the reality of Tia having been declared Oberoi bahu publicly and Anika becoming mahaan devi in their eyes for still protecting their khaandaan ka heera? 😆

LMAO @that video, how convenient, lagey haathon T&D ka MMS bhi dikha dete, would have saved Nakuul and us from yet another round of Shivaay's guilt-face, ek hi baar mein kaam nipatt jaata. 😆 Waise it was rather convenient that Shivvay suddenly decided to threaten Anika against telling OmRu anything, lol she could have told them ten times over by now for all he knew. But chalo, DRAMA chahiye toh any kind of random contrivance works I suppose. 😆
Apart from that, yeah it was pretty disturbing that they showed a kid watching his sister get manhandled into a marriage but I guess they had to put in that much-demanded scene of Saahil using his crutch on SSO so I'll overlook that bit. Anika's dialogues in that scene could have been so much better though. They ought to follow it up with a solo scene between her and Saahil, but knowing IB's track record, they won't, so never mind again. 😆 The only sibling-lou important in this show is of the Obros toh chalo I will just look forward to that.
Pinky toh aaj full on SLB ki MAA wali mode mein aa gayi. "Tu toh mera guroor thha." 😆 But chalo glad to get the saas-bahu shit out of the way, and it was undeniably satisfying to see Shivaay falling in their eyes as he deserves to. Baki family mute mode as usual and Dadi toh hai hi paltibaaz, so smoothly she exited the courtroom ASAP. 😆
Re: Anika, man, they seem to have made her the spearhead of the TRP campaign. 😆 It's funny what they are trying, they clearly don't know which audience they want to appeal to, the younger online ones or the TRP-junta, so they are trying to keep both the elements intact and beech mein bechari Anika ki chakki peesing ho rahi hai. 😆 NOt to mention that rainbow vomit costume they have saddled her with, it just makes everything she does look 10x worse. YUCK.
That said, however, I suppose there CAN be an explanation for her actions today in front of OmRu and Saahil. The fact that she did it AFTER berating him and threatening him kinda saved it for me, actually (I know you feel the exact opposite). It can be interpreted as her not overlooking or justifying what he did, but simply trying to protect the brothers (both his and hers) from unnecessary pain. It's pretty much the same thing that Shivaay does, and both are very alike in this matter. She had no qualms in telling Dadi earlier, but OmRu are a different matter and while LYING to save Shivaay's sorry arse definitely smacks of mahaanta, it's something that isn't out of character for her. As for what she said to Saahil, again I'll chalk it up to her trying to shield her baby brother from hating on someone, rather than excusing Shivaay's deeds as such. But yeah, mostly all this is because of my Anika bias, I really disliked her yesterday and today was just far better by comparison because at least she spoke. 😆 Problem is that Shivaay has fallen SO low at this point that is becoming unfathomable why she would defend him in any way...it's not even the forced marriage but the utter callousness and cowardice he has shown afterwards which has thrown him into a deep dark pit of no return. Must be hard for the shippers. 😆 Anyway, I don't see the point of trying to make sense of this hot mess, my expectations are so low that I am okay when characters speak and do things and the plot moves, hopefully with some laughs thrown in. 😆
