That is exactly my query, Nith...if we lose trust...what happens to love? Does it only evoke a sense of nostalgia, a regret or feeling of what could have been but was never meant to be. Why did Shravan even after ten years of staying away from Sumo come back to her? As a younger teenager, he had been scarred even if Sumo had not done it intentionally...at that age every pain, every trouble seem to be more magnifed...yet, even his conscious reasoning articulated as hate did not make him stay away from her. He still hoped she would once give him a call...not for merely saying sorry but at least to hear his voice...Why did he hope? The trust was seemingly gone...the hate had infiltrated his very being...yet, he hoped...yet, he dropped those earrings of her just by the mention of her name...He lost to nanu during his first chess game after a gap of ten years...even when he knew Sumo had misplaced one piece of that chess...A person who doesnt like to lose...(Khosla case he said this to Sumo)...why did he lose to Nanu when the stakes were...he would have to come again for another ten rounds of chess...which btw...is still pending
Why did Sumo wait for him? Love she did...and yet, hadnt read his letter...Knew she was wrong as well...to a certain extent, she believed she was the reason he hadnt returned for the past ten years...Yet, she waited patiently...Was it simply to apologise? She could have done it over telephone, emails and other various ways...yet, she waited...
How did she knew he would return? And when he would...her apology will make alive those ten years gone by?
Thats why my query...what is love? How do we define love? And when barriers are erected...in the name of trust issues...what happens to love? In the case of SS...we have seen that barriers or walls are rather transparent and weak...
Will now in the present moment those walls still stand if love or whatever you want to classify it as spills over...I guess the answer will be a resounding no..😆

I donrt know if love is the most mangled...but, it is the most translated...and i do not mean into different languages...but, one which defies the rules and grammar of language😉

OK, my one simple question to the two of you - is love without trust not love then? In that case, how would you see one-sided, unrequited love?
I think in a relationship where love is reciprocated, trust completes the feeling of love.
Really curious to hear your thoughts on the question...

But in the conversation with the young Sumo in the last episode, we saw the young Sumo repeatedly speak of the "andarwali Suman" as a different being. I felt that Shravan now has started believing that the two are different. Because the convo was really entirely his. The young Sumo was really a part of his own mind that has started bubbling up and poking him in the ribs each time he lets his ego and anger win over his love.
His heart has already begun answering the question - "Kaun Sumo?"

Yes...this is where the tragedy...Adult Shravan believes that younger and adult versions of Sumo are different. The last fb of Sumo with younger version of Shravan showed that her recollection of the younger Shravan is now being punctured with the idea of the adult version...
So, Sumo actusally is moving towards void...while Shravan is seemingly moving towards a chasm...how the twain shall meet is the query?

I dunno why but I had the feeling that even with the gradual realization that the current Suman is different from the Sumo he fell in love with, the adult Shravan appeared to be crawling toward understanding and acceptance.
I don't think he has fully comprehended how different the two are, why, and how to respond to this Suman, but I see the beginning of an awareness. Or maybe it's just my fertile imagination! 😃

Really curious to hear your thoughts on the question...

Love reciprocated...but, love here in both SS case apart from a faint hope cannot be understood as reciprocation at all. Good actions by both of them as glassdoor mentioned can be spelled out as merely friendship...
Yet, expectations are from both sides, demands as well again from both sides...
How come? How come they reposed so much trust in the other? And particularly when nothing has been going right for them...
For me love and trust are not mutually exclusive...if trust has been destroyed...so will the love..it shall die a gradual death...
In both SS, after a gap of ten years...trust being broken...love still flowed...hope still remianed and trust was verbalized in two questions...from the revenge party
Sumo ...kya se kya ban gaye ho...She had reserved in her memory...an image of Shravan ...one who could not fail her...and her question though articulating her pain at what he had done...also, invoked the glimmer of hope...this is what you were and this is what are you now...Can you go back to what you were...Even as she verbalized this query ...she dramtized her trust which in the last ten years had only grown strong...
Another dialogue...Shravan to Sumo...why didnt you give me a call? He left her because he believed she was not the image of the kind friend who was his world...that friend had betrayed him...Yet, in the last ten years he still waited and hoped for a call...
Because love or trust remained

@Anu @Indrani

Love may die a gradual death when there is no trust but it would put up one hell of a fight and that is what I think kept both of them waiting.
Will come back and update in sometime, there is more. This comment is incomplete 😆

Agree Nith...it would fight...but, then ten years is a long time...to die a gradual death with no communication between the two...
But shall be waiting for your thoughts😳😃

Rosh...Muah! ...😳🤗
I love these two together...they feel real, even with all their flaws..

I do not believe in one as using the other...none of us would have then invested so much time in them...But, the fact, that their love fights, pushes, struggles against all the murky waters...makes one feel for these two...

You know why darkness is so important because darkness makes the light glow and shine more...Their walls which have seemingly been erupted between them...can only manifest that love more...
Thats why as Rekha said ...I do believe this show is more like a book...you have to read and re-read the earlier pages to inform your understanding

Absolutely Indrani..
I believe we connect with them so much bcz they are flawed... And it makes them so human, so real... With real raw emotions..
Yeah, I know.. It's the kind of love you feel rooting for.. The unputdownable, fiesty, eternal kind..
@Bold... I agree.
