Amitabh Bachchan's Pink has won the nation's heart and garnered immense praise from the critics as well as the audience. But do you know the hidden meaning of Pink and that it has nothing to do with the colour that is often associated with women. When Shoojit Sircar was asked about the same, before the movie was released, he had replied saying that people will come to know of its meaning after watching the film.

Veeresh Malik, in his blog on TOI, has answered the question finally, he wrote, '...the various urban dictionaries online define 'pink' as a reference to forced and often cruel or threat based occupation of a v*ina by an unwelcome p*nis. That's about as hard-hitting as it gets, there are other racial undertones also, which I first heard about, way-way back in the '70s.' In simpler terms, 'v*ina of the sort that is bought, with violence.'

Talking about the movie, Amitabh Bachchan told in a press conference recently, 'Pink is no longer perhaps a colour. Pink no more connotes the favourite colour of a young girl and her Barbie doll. Pink means you have the freedom and liberty to walk at night. Women got the opportunity to speak out through this film.'

Adding to the same, Taapsee Pannu said, ''You know what experiences she went through while travelling in DTC buses but she did not muster the courage to protest. The film will now teach girls like her to go to police station and lodge protest. This is the victory of Pink.'

i completely agree with you, infact this is one of the reasons I don't like ab films of yester years, I am more of a rajesh Khanna fan cause of his films, whatever limited exposure I have had...

but just because he did those films then does not mean he should continue doing those type of films only. and the story content is decided by directors and producers not actors, specially in those days..and even if he himself acted in some regressive songs, the composition of which was not in his hands, its never too late to correct ones line of work or type of work that they do...

his personal life is another thing, but as a professional, nothing should stop him from doing films that
has the power to bring about a positive social change.

its good that " Budhau amit giving pravachan" but what about those , those still doing same and shamelessly preaching 😛

How would a girl feel if she is travelling by a train and some random guy sits next to her and shoves a bra on her face ? Furthermore, what if he touches her body without her consent ?
Forget the lady, how would a man feel if someone does that to him ?

And what if I tell all you , this is a scene of a movie, which is regarded as one of the best *romantic* movies of Bollywood (lol)

The biggest ever Irony is that people call such movies as FAMILY MOVIES. And the people who make movies with some script are rendered as Adult film makers due to a single kissing scene that too involving two lovers.

We are not ashamed to see eve teasing, women in bikini and stupidity in front of our family, but a kissing scene makes us red with shame (I am also included in 'WE' )

i dont feel his appeal any meaning in his old age while selling all kind of regressive views in his phase which we consider as hero. Normally society more influenced by what we consider as hero, i am also same view how these khans and all stars sold and still selling us those same kind of love story, everything from srk amir movie to now sultan. Crap love story.

When we can watch those darr kind of movies why cant we watch the real world darrr , a recent incident .i wonder why women are silent on these issues when they comprise nearly 50 Percent population , we male would bring revolution if some woman stab a man like 30 times on his face.

is it not because it was a different time?... many old movies ya phir ye kahu sari old movies me we see regressive scenes dialogues which we may not see now as much... time time ki baat hai! us time pe thinking aise thi... par ab jab salman ladkiyo ki dress uthata hai log seetiya marte hai... Sultan me bhi such regressive dialogues the.. aise dialogues aur treatment in latest movies is far worse than old movies kyuki us time itna progress nahi tha for women! mujhe aaj ki movies badi kharab lagti hai when they are regressive and sell it to the core audience...

aur that video aapne share ki.. par itni bhayanak video kisi ne shoot bhi ki? :-( aapko pata hai if police did any investigation based on that video?

No our older generation are as regressive as we are now, when we see repeated incidents like these hardly anything changed , only thing we overlook these things earlier in past , social media cctv throw those in front of our face , i also like all those movies till now , may be there need to be a change.
that video is 2 day old and normal routine in our life. these are repeated story weather in south or north India, what investigation ? hardly we care such incident, girl lost her life , hero danced on her dead body , police is just like a mute spectator as we are , Normally in youtube there is age restriction on those kind video but not showing here in IF ,
