Does the wife has a right to refuse her husband? Skip to around 7 minute in the below video and comment please.
It seems she used to like another guy but was forced to marry someone else and he pretty much forces her to sleep with him on her wedding night. In the end there is happy ending and she leaves her husband but no action was taken against him.
In another movie One Night Stand there was similar scene where the husband abuses his wife and she leaves him in the end but again there was no action, no police involved.
In Dil Dhadakne Do the character of Priyanka Chopra is clearly not into her husband and she tells him she is not in the mood. But he forces upon her and she gives up protesting to not hurt his feelings.
So is Bollywood right in how they project a husband-wife relationship? Does the wife has to provide for her husband given that she is married to him? This concept is far different than the western media hence would love to hear your thoughts on it. I have hard time understanding that in all 3 scenes and many more it was business as usual and wasn't shown like a big deal at all.
