CVs, thank you for making the bestest and the most authentic and unforgettable version of Uttar Kand!!

They did screw it up quite a bit *sigh*

CVs have not even attempted to explain the intricacies of that era, the complications of a King's duty in contrast to family duty.

Instead of even trying to justify that era to modern viewers, CVs have used modern thinking to justify their horrible character assassination.

It wasn't Sanju. And the woman and Sita in me hurts and rages all together. There are many things with this show that I don't agree. But there are a lot of things I like as well. Today destroyed it all šŸ˜•

Which is my problem with this show, Janu. Why show Mahalakshmi as someone she is not? Why all the OTT? There were so many ways the show could have gone.

What is the justification of the CVs making Sita wear bridal attire? Her reason for Bhumi Pravesh is weak. She would never do Bhumi Pravesh for woman's rights. She would have stayed back and made a change.
Sita is the Prakriti to Lord Rama's Purush. She was His equal, but not above Him. No one is above Him. They are called SiyaRam for a reason.
But here, she rejected Lord Rama outright. Would the Sita, whose very life revolved around the name of Rama do this? It is equal to saying Radha rejected Krishna, or one of the Bharya rejected Him. I am horrified by this 🤢
They needn't have gone to this extent.

Exactly, Srutha.

If Sita's intention was really women's rights, then she wouldn't have done bhumi pravesh because leaving the Earth solves NOTHING. Indirectly she is sending the message to women that if society rejects them, they should just kill themselves instead of fighting that society, instead of living a life of respect.

In the show, Sita said that she was ready to kill herself the moment Ram "rejected" her, but she stayed alive till this time only for her children.

So what is this Sita teaching women?

That suicide is the answer to a regressive society? šŸ˜• What will women of today learn seeing Sita today? That they should not attempt to live but die after facing humiliation? Women today who are raped, who are kicked out of their husbands' houses by cruel in-laws or husband, women who are harassed for dowry, should they all kill themselves because they've been rejected?

That is such a horrible and wrong message.

Is this what Panchali did? Did she kill herself after the vastra haran? NO. She fought for herself and became the shakti of her husbands as they avenged her insult. She became their inspiration, and THAT is what a strong woman does.

If women's rights and self-respect was really foremost in Sita's mind, she would have returned to Ayodhya and fought for all the common women there. She'd have met with each woman rejected by society, given them the resources to live a respectful life, and helped them financially so that they're never dependent on

I don't agree with this Sita that a Queen is powerless. A queen has as much power as the King.

After the praja repented and even Ram begged her to come back, the Queen in Sita would have accepted because it would have given her the opportunity to bring true change in society.

Do you know what I wouldn't have minded seeing?

It would have been awesome of Sita agreed to return to Ayodhya, and she utilized her power as Queen to help the common women in the Kingdom. She had the power to help them financially. She had the power to give them moral and physical support. She'd have insured women would never again have to depend on someone for sustenance.

THAT is what a strong woman does. She doesn't kill herself because society rejected her.

And that is precisely what Sita did as well. The epic Sita did, anyway. Why did SKR Sita have to take it like that? She is Bhudevi/Bhumija. Her patience and tolerance were the Earth's. She could have borne anything. Anything, and yet would have survived it all. A mother sacrifices for her children, and that's what all of them did. Be it Shridevi, Bhudevi, Sita, Radha, Rukmini, Bhama. Any of them sacrificed for their children. For if not parents, who does?

She could have done anything, for here they actually showed the praja repenting. Why did she leave the Earth? Was she bitter due to rejection? Then is the Sita that SKR portraying Mahalakshmi at all?

To the Creatives of Siya ke Ram...what version is this?? You just INSULTED Sita Mata today! Worse than what those fools in Ayodha did when accussing Sita Mata of Foul things! Those fools didn't know what they were saying at THAT time, but you?? The creatives?? If you wanted to show modern woman independence..why BUTCHER SITA'S CHARACTER!!!!

Do you have any idea WHY we pray to Sita Mata???? Because we want the virtures of Sita Mata! And only a person with divine powers can give them! Sita Mata BUILT up her divinity by doing Tapasya all those years! Before her Husband even BEGGING HER TO COME BACK, she would have been with him a flash of a moment! Sita Mata would NEVER WANT HER HUSBAND INSULTED!

If you wanted to show Sitas version, You can...but you cannot butcher what happened in Reality! That is like saying Modiji's wife divorces Modi! Which never happened! U cannot rewrite history! The fact is...PRAJA NEVER ACCEPTED SITA MATA AND HER CHILDREN, KING RAMCHANDRA COULDN'T ACCEPT HIS WIFE BACK AS A QUEEN UNTIL SITA MATAJI PROVED HER INNOCENCE BY DOING SAMADHI! AND Sita Mataji did that becaiuse she had enough of giving tests and so she did this to stop all gossip ONCE AND FOR ALL!

What the hell is wrong is with you????????

Why did the real Sita Mata do bhumi pravesha?

She did it because unlike SKR's Sita, she never had the opportunity to return to Ayodhya as its Queen.

The praja had never repented. They had never sought forgiveness from her. They still doubted her, and consequently doubted her children.

The protective mother in her did Bhumi Pravesha to restore her children's honor, not to prove anything to society.

If women's rights and self-respect was really Sita's foremost reason, then she wouldn't have done Bhumi Pravesha. She'd have continued living and taught women that to live a life of self-respect, it is very important to be self-reliant and strong of mind. It's important to keep living, to utilize the chances that the world gives you to make your life better and do good to others.
