Both were amazing actresses of their time and did some successfully female oriented movies.
Rekha has 3 Filmfare award whereas Jaya Bhaduri boasts of 8 Filmfare awards, which is maximum number of Filmfare for any female actor.

My fav Rekha's movie is Khoobsurat and Khoon Bhari maang and Jaya's Anamika, Guddi and Koshish.

Jaya Bachchan did some great movies and will always be remembered as an actor more than a star since she was far away from being glamorous on screen mostly played simple girl next door.

Rekha is a good actress and was glamorous plus good dancer so complete package.

Rekha on the other hand had everything.

Both for me.

As a public persona Jaya.

Living with Amitabh must be exhausting. 😆

Jaya B is so so so talented, probably even more talented than Mr B, but very underrated. My favourite movies of her are Guddi, Mili, Koshish and Kora Kagaz. From more recent movies, she was amazing in Fiza and Kal Ho Na Ho as well. Even her latest guest appearance in Ki and Ka showed how endearing her screen presence still is :) just seeing her put a smile on my face.

Rekha started off a little too young but rose quickly up the ranks. Her jodi with Mr B got very popular but with movies like Ghar, Khoobsurat and Umrao Jaan, Khoon Bhari Maang etc she showed her versatility. She was definitely amongst the more glamorous actresses but still showed her talent, especially in dancing and expressions compared to Jaya. She is still talked about for the freshness she brought to movies in the 70s and 80s.

To sum up, for me, both are amazing actresses but I admire Jaya Bhaduri / Bachchan more. In the (only?) movie they did together, Silsila, I admired how restrained and dignified Jaya's performance was, especially considering the rumours of Mr B and Rekha going on at that time. Rekha had the more glam role too, but I think Jaya's screen presence is such that I just can't take my eyes off her when she's on the screen. 😊

Jaya Bachchan is better actress..."501 saop" using sign language scene in Koshish...that was such a good scene...

Rekha is a decent actress...

I love both as actresses...personally I don't support women going after married men...the poll is about professional expertise n I chose jaya over rekha
