Its not a question of emotional bonding...that is not time sensitive and can be done even at night by a working mom tucking her kids into bed, reading alongwith them, listening to how their day was and telling them how her day was...

Kajol didnt generalize ALL kids as being selfish, she distinctly mentioned Yug saying he likes to see Mom at home when he gets home from school...not Dad, mind you. 😆

That is the expectation some kids have, particularly boys, for MOM to be near them at all times. Of course when they grow up, they would rather spend time with their friends then.

So Mom, even if shes a working mother, is expected to be home when her kid comes home from school. Its these kind of expectations that puts a mother in a bind. Its a delicate balance so every mother has the right to vent at times. Only she knows what she has to go through to balance these things.

I hv NO idea HOW people will get from the comment that Kajol is projecting Lil Yug as this selfish brat..who is equating his mum with the paid help...😳

If she has the right to express her opinions others have an equal right to criticise her for what they believe is a stupid statement. I do not understand this logic about how the 12 pages of bashing is undeserved and preposterous because what may be an innocuous statement for you may not be so for others. Its subjective, you may call it over-reaction or whatever but that is your opinion just like others have their opinion. Should others not state their opinion anymore because some people on the forum have defended even bigger crimes??

If Sonam is called Sodumb and mocked at in every thread for her stupid W*F statements why should Kajol be shown a preferential treatment?? And that to because she spoke what she thought, well does not every person think what they speak, but yes only some people actually do think before they speak unlike Kajol.

Sonam gets bashed/ trolled because she made catty remarks abt other actresses, or boasted abt her own iconic status.
Kajol didnt bash anyone else, she just made a glib statement abt the demands of motherhood.

Instead of taking her statement at face value, maybe we shd take it as one of those faux maternal angsty statements that many real life moms tend to give abt their kids, which actually is veiled pride at being so loved and needed by their kids.
I think us moms understand better what she said...😆

Overreactions, everywhere. What's so offensive if somebody mentioned themselves as a bai. Big deal. Between a couple of friends, if one of them drives the car always..dont they joke about being a personal driver or something. Lol.

lol IF is a place for over reactions... My mom in super angry mode has told me many times that She works like a bai when I feel super lazy to do any household chores... It's no ones bloody business to try to advice me on anything... Go deal with issues in your life and family (I bet all the mummy's might have said / will say this atleast once in their lifetime and that too in a super pissed off mode)and don't worry about the world for gods sake. Sheena bora jaise once in a blue moon day kinda of ekta kapoor serial plots are always here to stay...but this does not generalize anything... So keep all your theories of yug and Nysa to yourselVes... 🥱

Totally get what Kajol is saying. Sometimes it truly feels like I am a bai to my kids. Cooking, cleaning, picking up after them, etc, etc...
I guess only women who actually have kids will understand what she meant and I do not include the self righteous holier than thou moms.
But i wouldn't trade my "bai" job for anything in the world for sure! 😊

A mom plays many roles in kids' life. Bai is one of them. The way Kajol termed it is very stupid. A kid wanting mom or parents attention is core of that relation.

Kajol has history of saying things in a smug way. So the reaction on the forum is a collective one Someone saying that she gave up her career in the peak to be mom. So, that gives her right to say stupid things in public? Of course, TM deduced a different meaning, but what Kajol said is just plain stupid.
