here it is

some brilliantly captured scenes..some not so much

omung's direction is inconsistent..had any other director (who directed Neerja may be) directed it..it would have been a lot more gripping

randeep..HATS OFF..he owned it..owned it..his body language..expression and above all his pitch perfect punjabi accent..he is sarbjit..he lives the role

richa was alright in what ever she had to do..she also got the accent right

SPOILER ALERT

aishwarya is bloody brilliant in the scene she is holding her newly born dead child. Her expressions move you. Having said that her performance is not consistent..her expressions are solid..it is her accent and lack of getting it right which is the biggest flaw here..i won't say on the hamming part coz a woman who is this frustrated and tired of fighting..will ham

overall sarbjit is not a perfect movie..it has its flaws but the story is so impactful that it moves you despite an average direction and the performances make it even better

i am going with 3 stars

Good to see a review from a neutral person of this forum who isn't hating on the film and on Ash just for the sake of it.

@bold that scene is one of my fav scenes in the film along with the jail reunion scene(another outstandingly performed scene) In the whole scene the camera was just focused on the grief stricken Dalbir, it was so powerful and it moved me to the core. Such an outstanding display of emotions by Ash!

Sarabjit Second Weekend Business

Sarabjit had a low second weekend of 4.50 crore nett though was steady compared to first weekend with a drop of 63% apprx. The business of Sarabjit till date is as follows.

Week One - 18,97,00,000

Day 8 - 1,00,00,000

Day 9 - 1,50,00,000

Say 10 - 2,00,00,000

Total - 23,47,00,000

The film got the advantage of hardly any competition as the releases were weak but this week will see Housefull 3 and it will probably end the run of Sarabjit and lifetime business will be 26-27 crore nett.

Saturday Box Office Update

Sunday 29 May 2016 11.30 IST

Box Office India Trade Network

Sarabjit had around 50% growth on Saturdat taking its eight day total to 21.50 crore nett. The two day second weekend of Sarabjit is as follows.

Friday - 1,00,00,000

Saturday - 1,50,00,000

TOTAL - 2,50,00,000

Veerapan waa flat on day two. The first two day business pf Veerapan is as follows.

Friday - 1,25,00,000

Saturday - 1,25,00,000

TOTAL - 2,50,00,000

Phobia managed to nearly double its day one collections while Waiting more than doubled but it makes no difference as collections still failing to hit 50 lakhs nett.

Sarabjit Should Lead This Weekend

Sarabjit had low collections in its eighth day of a little under 1 crore nett taking its total to around 20 crore nett. The drop is 65-70% from day which would have been okay if the collections were higher. The apprx business of Sarabjit till date is as follows.

Week One - 19,00,00,000

Day 8 - 1,00,00,000

Total - 20,00,00,000

Despite having poor collections the film will still come out with a better second weekend than the first weekend of the new releases. Those films are unlikely to find an audience over the weekend while Sarabjit will get some footfalls but not enough to alter its fate.

Sarabjit continued to run on low collections on its second Monday. The business of Sarabjit till date is as follows.

Week One - 18,97,00,000

Day 8 - 1,00,00,000

Day 9 - 1,50,00,000

Day 10 - 2,00,00,000

Day 11 - 75,00,000

Total - 24,22,00,000

The film will gross around 7 crore nett in its second week which would be the eighth highest second week of the year. The lifetime business will be around 27 crore nett.
