We asked you to choose between Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Ritika Singh and Nimrat Kaur, on the basis of their performances in their films. Clearly, it was Sonam who won it hands down!

2016s first half ended on a good note. In fact, we would say it was a quarter where content was actually the king and not a proverbial possibility in this industry. Films like Airlift and Neerja did fantabulous box office numbers which made us your fan. You chose the right films to put your weight behind and we couldn't have asked for more. After all, it should be the content which should get more precedence over anyone and anything. Obviously, there were some stellar performances too. We asked you to choose between Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Ritika Singh and Nimrat Kaur, on the basis of their performances in their films. Clearly, it was Sonam who won it hands down!

To be fair, we were expecting such a turnout for Sonam. She gave her career's best performance. Everyone who always pointed a finger at her histrionics were pleasantly surprised. Right now it's difficult to think of anyone who could have played Neerja Bhanot better than Sonam. The film tremendous business and everyone left with moist eyes from the theatre. It's a proud tale of a braveheart perfectly portrayed by Neerja. She won this poll with 38.91 percent. Priyanka Chopra as the tough cop in Jai Gangaajal took the second spot with 29.95 percent.
