In the first place, no logic to even discuss about

i cant agree that the show isnt illogical. It is way too illogical..I want to be defensive about this, but i cant not just ignore the poor execution and sketch of Tanu's character.
One is that, the cvs doesnt have that much brain to make us believe that she is in depression.. They are just showing their normal Ekta-ish female lead.. So mahaan, , So innocent, always sacrificing, and always too stupid to be skeptical about the issues..
Watch any of EK serials, the same vibe you will feel, whether the girl loses the parent or not, or faces too much of trauma..Don't compare this to an American series, where they always oversee every single detail into and show a realistic one ( except for the fantasy genre) .. Indian TV industry doesnt have that much of quality standard.. Not only EK shows, the Rashmi Sharma serials too..I have watched countless hindi serials, American series, Pakistan dramas, Korean dramas, Japanese dramas, etc, and so i can see whether the makers/writers are intelligent enough to deliver applause worthy execution or not.
Two, if they are showing a depressive Tanu , why does she gets so into the feel of Rishi's romances and advances.. From her look, you cant say she is depressed..
This show has the potential to do so well, but they cant do it, unless, they change the character of Tanu.. She needs to clear everything from her side.. That's all..
The Logic Behind Tanu's Behavior
Why would an educated girl put up with Chachi's spiteful behavior? Why would she not acknowledge to Rishi that she loves him, particularly when he repeated confesses his love to her? Why is she tormenting herself? Why is she not revealing her true identity to Rishi and Raj Bedi?Does Tanu enjoy being abused? Have the CVs lost it in showing an illogical Tanu? Are the CVs taking the viewers for a ride? Are the CVs doing this to gain the sympathy of the TRP viewers by showing illogical melodrama? On the surface Tanu's behavior seems illogical. But is it really illogical? No, in my opinion it is not illogical. Her behavior is that of someone with Reactive Depression or Adjustment Disorder with Depressed Mood.Step back a moment and think about Tanu as she was before her parents died. She accepted that Rishi may not be interested in her and wanted to move on. She applied for a job and went for the interview. When she heard about terrorists occupying her college - she wanted to do something about the situation and not just hang around. Tanu - was doer - she was not someone who would be passive. Then, tragedy struck. Both her parents were killed by hate-filled men - who mercilessly shot them. Tanu's mother died in her arms. Tanu's parents had come to the college looking for her and Aahna. Tanu had lied to them that she was going to College! Immediately thereafter the greedy and abusive Chachi-n-Chacha entered their lives. I need not tell you how they have treated them - you, my readers know it all.Is it not natural for her to be depressed after the traumatic event? Definitely. Is she suffering from Major Depression that requires the care of a physician? No - but she her coping mechanisms have gone haywire. Her social behavior is maladaptive. Her cognitive view of herself and the world about her is distorted. She blames herself and feels helpless - she feels she has no control over her life or events. This is the reason for her passivity (in contrast to the doer that she initially was shown to be). This is the reason for her meekly accepting all that Chachi dishes out to her. This is her reason for believing Chachi and for rejecting Rishi - because the feeling of helplessness and dejection are a negative cycle that choke initiative and feeling of self-efficacy.The CVs are showing a Tanu who in a reactive depression state is self-destructive that is true to life. It is certainly not illogical!!!
