That pic is magnificent. It it turns out to be shoot location, we'll have another thing to celebrate.

I hope it still is Jijy bhai. He's got experience so hoping for the best.

I see two familiar names here. So, I am just going to bookmark this thread.

Yes! Finite series are the way to go. I'm glad atleast one channel - Zee - and renowned PH has decided to experiment a finite finite series. 26 episodes; short, crisp, gripping - first ever on Indian TV, I guess!

Sony tried this with YRF many years ago, aired a host of finite shows with 26 episodes. Lovely shows, all of them. The format did not work. The audiences are still used to daily format crap. But here's hoping, this show turns out to be worth watching. The rest isn't in anyone's hands, anyway.

If I start speaking on finite shows, then I'll probably be here for the next 24 hours and not complete my project which is due tomorrow.

Many of you might be too young to either know about them or remember them.

Some of the most beautiful shows on this PLANET were finite shows!! WAYYY BACK WHEN!!

And I urge you all to look it up and see if you can watch them. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I don't have time to list all of them. So I'm giving you my top 3.

1. Kshitij Yeh Nahin - 13 Episodes - 1990s - DD

Supriya Pilgaonkar, Aman Verma and the guy who plays Aishwary's Dad in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. It was a serial by Durga Khote about widow remarriage. MUST WATCH!!

2. Kashish - 6 Episodes - 1990s - DD

Starred Sudesh Berry and Malvika Tiwari.

3. Fauji - 13 Epsiodes - 1989 - DD

Starring Shahrukh Khan. Amazingly relevant even today. Directed by Aziz Mirza who went on to direct many of Shahrukh's hit movies. Also starred Ashutosh Gowariker who later became a big Director.

There are many, many more. Will write about it some other time when I have some time on my hands.

-----------------------

Hopefully, we can move on to the show at hand and stop making tall claims about how Zee TV is doing something groundbreaking for the first time? Because...duh...it's NOT! Let's not make any uninformed statements. These finite shows have been there for decades.

Now, a Season format, like here in the US, hasn't caught on in India yet. That would be a fantastic way to go forward than that Ekta's regressive shit!

Hope finite series trend picks up, some channels did some finite series in last 1-2 yrs, not very successful though..Indian TV used to have finite shows only pre satellite or pre ekta era, used to be good. These daily shows are pure nonsense.
Anyways hoping this show turns out good and pretty sure going forward also we will see Barun in finite series on TV if he decides to do more TV.
No daily soap rubbish😆
