Despite the fact that it was filled with high voltage drama between Neelkanth and Sharmila today, I loved how Kali did not hesitate to slap him and make him realize his folly like a real sibling would do. This beautiful brother-sister relationship had been shown a lot during their childhood days and seeing it translate like this on screen was kinda nice. The same with Sharmila and Yug. He did not question her much when he saw her state but he is willing to make sure that the guy who did this to his sister does not go without an adequate punishment. Yes. It was wrong for him to attack Neelu Bhaiya so mercilessly, but it is his love for his elder sister that caused him to not realize where he should stop.
And the fact that Kali knows Neelu Bhaiya was at fault so she let Yug hit him for some time, but when Yug crossed his limit she went and requested him to stop before he would do something that would make him regret his actions in the future. She came at the right time and saved Sharmila from humiliation and she was trying hard to explain to Yug that he must face the reality before taking impulsive decisions. So basically this is the truth that came in front of Yug. That Kali is Neelkanth's sister.
I feel like this adds so much more depth to their characters. KaYu are shown to be humane and more prone to making mistakes rather than being picture perfect human beings.
We find Yug who takes an impulsive decision to in a way alienate Kali and stay away from her because he realizes she is Neelu Bhaiya's sister. (Historical Reference: Just like Ramji did when he listened to the dhobi and banished his wife from the kingdom). He is going to have a tough time repenting when this truth of him unjustly misjudging her comes in front of his eyes.
He makes comments about her one of them being that blood is stronger than any other relations but in fact Kali is not related to Neelu Bhaiya by blood and yet has a deeper connection with him than probably Gauri, because they mutually understand the torture inflicted by Taiji and the family. Most are underrated and made to ensure Gauri gets her way.
We find Kali who stands her ground and stops Neelu Bhaiya from committing a crime that could easily destroy not just Sharmila's entire life but also his reputation and sanity. But she knows her brother was not in the right mental state, Sharmila has obviously instigated him by something that led him to take an action that is so rash and he absolutely does not deserve to die at the hands of Yug who has always been on the right path and helped her out. She does not want anyone to face dire consequences yet in a way in trying to have them face reality.
She asked Neelu Bhaiya to apologize to Sharmila and accept punishment at her hand.
She asked Yug to stop hurting her brother because Yug had lost all senses in his love for his sister and he will bitterly regret if he puts Neelkanth in a life threatening situation, especially because what he is speculating has not occurred. His sister's shame is still intact because of Kali's intervention. It will exciting to see what Yug does after he takes Sharmila back home, has a talk with her and realizes how wrong his allegations on Kali are. He will also get the piece to his puzzle and probably be made aware that Gauri is the Badke Papa's Princess he kidnapped and saved and Neelkanth's sister by blood relations.
