Gaurav? Yes he had to make an entry in my story because I just love the character Gaurav, all credits goes to you for potraying him with such beauty in every story of yours. I love Gaurav and Sam too much, all thanks to you again. I wanted someone to be a close friend of Meher here and the ultimate choice came out was Gaurav to me :3

You just introduced Gaurav in this part...but from what you wrote I felt that Preet is not as close to Gaurav as he is to Viren and Ash. So why would he tell him about his feelings?

I totally get you Fatima. Oviously he is more close with Ash and Viren than Gaurav and Claire. Gaurav Claire and Preet are friends for just two months but Ash and Viren are his besties, he has grown up with them.

By the way, I did mention that Gaurav and Claire has become close friends too. But yeah oviously not as much as Ash and Viren. Gaurav thought about talking to Preet regarding the issue because he is also clueless about why was Preet acting so. But you have to wait till the next update to find out what will happen, I can't tell anything more now sweetheart. On a other note, Gaurav is definately not into Meher.

About the Viren issue? All I can say is that wait till the next part. Haha. I am acting very weird right? I would just say, the next part is going to answer your every question and will have a great impact on the story line.

Fnally i have read all the parts and now i am here to comment on this wonderful story. But first of all thanks for being so patient with me and still sending me PMS.

Now coming to the story i just loved the way you are progressing with the story. This is really something different then all the MEET stories i have red so far This is a pure journey from friendship to love..

For a change i loved the characters Ash and Viren since they are shown in the positive light in your story. I also loved their friendship and the way they accepted Meher in their group as if she was always a part of it. But If i am not wrong i am sure Viren have got more feelings towards Meher then just being friends. And this could possibly create a triangle in future.

I loved the confusion part though where Meher misunderstood the relationship between Ash and Preet and was trying to give them the space which they never wanted.

Now the last part where all of them are going to stay with Kulraj it was clear that Preet is getting jealous from the close bond between Meher and Gaurav and Gaurav for sure have got some idea about it. I am really looking forward to see how Gaurav acts because according to the last line he is definitely going to do something and i hope he does something so that both Meher and Preet actually realise their true feelings for each other and their love story can actually start. so far both Meher and Preet have given enough hints in the story that they feel something more for each other but the sad part is they don't understand it completely now.

Also I think Preet should be more worried about Viren rather than worrying about Gaurav.

The story is really getting interesting day by day and i am looking forward for your PM with the next part.

CHAPTER 12

Preet rang the bell twice. He was about to knock the door when Ashlesha opened it.
Meher: Ashlesha?! *Smiling widely* You two are already here?
Ashlesha: Yes guys, me and Viren are already here. Now come on, come inside.


Preet, Meher, Gaurav and Claire entered inside Kulraaj's house and followed Ashlesha to the drawing room. Kiran, Kulraaj and Viren along with the kids were present there. The kids ran to them screaming happily and hugged each four of them. Then Kulraaj sent them to the living room to play.
Kiran: Finally you all are here.
Kulraaj: Yes, I am so happy now. This is so nice that Gaurav and Claire are here too. It is always so fun to get you two amongst us.
Gaurav: We are really very happy to be here too di.
Claire: Yeah this is our pleasure Kul di.
Kulraaj: Aww, I love it when Claire calls me Kul di with her foreign accent.
Preet: Guys, I am so tired, I am going off to bed.
Kulraaj: What? No. First get freshen up and have lunch, then whoever wants to take nap, go for it.
Viren: Mehro, I got the hard copy of the novel you wanted to buy, the last time you visited Sydney but could not as the shop got closed.
Meher: What Viren?! *Surprised* Wow. You remembered?
Viren: Yeah, I hope you did not buy it already.
Preet: Meher searched for it Viru but sadly could not find one. Glad you bought pal.
Meher: Yeah thanks a lot Viru.
Kiran: You people have such amazing bond, calling each other by nicknames.
Ashlesha: Yeah jiju. Moreover, Clairu and GR are two new lovely ones added to the group since past one and a half month.
Preet: Now if you all have talked enough, then can I get some food and then some sleep? *Tired face*
Kulraaj: Aww my baby bro. Get freshen up you four. Ashlesha come, lend me a hand in preparing the table.
Ashlesha: Yeah, let us go di.


Everyone in the house had a great lunch and a comforting nap afterwards. Kulraaj's homemade Pani Puri and Samosas made the evening special. They also played Uno and Carrom. At some point of playing games, the ladies headed towards the kitchen to make dinner while the men along with the kids kept playing. It was almost 9.00 PM, when Kulraaj called the men and the kids to the dining table.
Preet: Emm, the aroma of the food is just too good.
Viren: Exactly.
Gaurav: So many dishes too. Going to be a very good feast, I must say.
Meher: Sit boys, we made something special for each of us and Claire made the Raita.
Kiran: Whoah! Gori mem (Foreign madam) cooked Indian food too. Well done Claire.
Claire: Dhannyabad (Thanks) jeeju.
Preet: Oye hoye Clairu, dhannyabad? Wow.
Everyone smiled and clapped for Claire. Then everyone sat on the dining table including kids to have dinner. But all of a sudden, Vikas, Ketan and Tannu started demanding that they wanted to be fed by Meher while watching the Jungle Book movie. Kulraaj tried to make them understand but the kids ran away to their room without paying any heed to her. Kulraaj was about to go to their room to scold them when Meher stopped her.
Meher: Di, I would love to feed them. Don't scold them di. They really love me and I enjoy this a lot.
Kulraaj: Mehu, I know that but what about your dinner? This should not be done.
Meher: I will take my dinner after feeding them. Please let me do it? Please? *Cute requesting face*
Kulraaj: With this face, okay surely you win Mehu but I will wait for you. We will have dinner together okay?
Meher: But di, you don't need to. You have dinner now, na?
Kulraaj: You agree to this or I go to scold them?
Meher: Okay okay, you wait. I will just be back.
Meher took food on a plate and went towards the room of the kids.


Preet: Umm di, you have your dinner. I will wait for Meher. Like we always have dinner together so it has become some kind of a habit.
Kulraaj: No Preet you don't have to. Have your food.
Kiran: I think Preet is right, you should have your dinner. Not because Preet should wait but you know our kids Kulraaj, they may keep Meher with them for their after dinner game session and even bed time stories too. Only you can handle them.
Kulraaj: You have a point Kiran and oh I just remembered, I need to put the kids to sleep earlier today. Well Preet, I will be out early morning tomorrow with kids for their karate and basketball sessions and will be back by afternoon. You need go with Kiran to check the construction of the hotel sight as bauji wanted so and sign some papers regarding a property in Melbourne which bauji took on your name long back.
Preet: What?! *Pretending to be surprised* Chandni took a property on my name? So much love?
Kulraaj: Shut up Preet. We all know how much he loves you and you know that as well.
Kiran: Gaurav, Viren you two should join us and girls you also can join, only if you have any interest in seeing the construction work.
Ashlesha: Jeeju, I guess we 3 will go for some morning shopping. What say Clairu?
Claire: Wonderful idea, Ash.
Viren: I think I won't be able to make it to the sight. Tomorrow early morning I have to work on some group assignment and submit it online. After that I will drive the girls to the shopping maybe if I will be done.
Kulraaj: Okay now everyone finish your meal and Preet you wait for your childhood bestie.
Preen nodded in agreement and smiled.
Later on, everyone else was done with their food, praised Claire for her Raita and went off to their bedrooms except Kulraaj. She went to the room of her kids in order to sent back Meher to the dining room. Preet was playing a game on his phone when Meher came and sat on the chair beside his one. Preet stopped playing, put the phone on the table and smiled at Meher.


Meher: I heard you have been waiting for me?
Preet: Umm yeah. Having dinner with you has become a habit.
Meher: But Preet, you must have been hungry and I know you did it for Kul di.
Preet: No, not really, it was for you. *Nervous face as he Realised, he was saying weird stuffs* I mean let it be.
Meher: *Serving Preet food* By the way, Kul di said about the plannings for tomorrow. I wish I did not have to go shopping. *Yuck face*
Preet: Hahaha, you can come with us Mehro.
Meher: Umm, no I can't Preet. I don't want to make Ashlesha and Claire upset. They made plans including me and I know they love shopping.
Preet: You are a girl but you don't like shopping. This is strange but very good. Well you will have Viren there for company when you will get bored with the shopping discussions and stuffs.
Meher: *Settling herself a plate of food* Yeah that will be nice. Now come on start eating. You have been waiting for so long.
Preet: Umm Meher? *Looking at Meher with the corner of his eyes*
Meher: Yes Preet?
Preet: How did you fed Ketan, Vikas and Tannu?
Meher: Why Preet? *Surprised*
Preet: Can you feed me once like that too? It is like I just feel like having one morsel by you. You remember you fed me dinner on the first day?
Meher could not control herself and laughed out loud.
Meher: You act sometimes so crazy Preet. Here open your mouth.
Meher fed him one morsel and Preet fed her one too. Then the two of them started having food by their own and stole glances at each other every now and then.


Preet was going the bedroom which they three boys were supposed to share when he met Ashlesha in the corridor.
Preet: Ash? What are you doing in the corridor?
Ashlesha: Was going to the balcony of the living room. Need to talk to Mom and not getting network inside.
Preet: Meher is in the room right? She left after cleaning up the dishes as I was busy playing a game on my phone.
Ashlesha: Yeah she is with Claire in our room. By the way what's cooking huh? I can feel there is something.
Preet: *Making a weird face* What? I did not get you.
Ashlesha: You like Meher right? Oh Preet, I could not be more happier.

Preet: Ash?! What are you even talking about? Have you gone nuts?
Ashlesha: Come on Preet, I have never seen you like this. Waiting for Meher on the dinner, always looking at her in an awe and I heard you even prepared breakfast to give her some rest this morning. Moreover, I have noticed you the last time you two came to Sydney too. Preet Juneja, you were never so lost in someone.
Preet: I think you are sleep deprived Ash. Go and finish talking to aunty ASAP. Then go to bed.
Saying these Preet walked off to his bedroom while Ashlesha grinned and left for the balcony.


Ashlesha hung up the phone and looked at the sky when someone called out her name. Clearly knowing who that was, Ashlesha looked behind being very happy.
Ashlesha: GR? What brings you here?
Gaurav: Actually Ash, I have something to discuss with you. Look, I did not mean to over hear you and Preet but I was about to come out of the room for a water bottle and that is when I heard your conversation with him. I am very happy that you found some signs in Preet too. Like I already know about Meher's one. It just that, she never admits.
Ashlesha: Seriously?! Wow, now this is so amazing. I can't tell you Gaurav how much happy I am.
Gaurav: Are you sure about Preet, Ash?
Ashlesha: Obviously I am GR. I know him since childhood.
Gaurav: Then it is really amazing as you said. But I am afraid, there is a problem too.
Ashlesh: What problem?
Gaurav: Maybe someone else likes Meher too.
Ashlesha: Who?! *Shocked* You don't like her in that way, do you?
Ashlesha tried hard to control her heart beat as the fear of her crush having a crush on Meher seemed to have a chance.
Gaurav: Oh no. What are you even talking about. I never even thought about her in that way. I am so happy for both Preet and Meher.
Ashlesha: *Letting out a sigh of relief inside her mind* So whom are you talking about?
Gaurav: Viren.
Ashlesha: Viren?! *Surprised* What made you think so?

Gaurav: A lot of things Ash. He is always being over caring towards Meher and tries to be with her wherever she goes. He even tried to give her indirect hints, which I noticed but sadly naive Meher could not.
Ashlesha: Well, I don't know Gaurav. If something like this is actually up in Viru's mind, then we need to tell him about Preet and Meher before it gets too late and the situation go worse.
Gaurav: Exactly. Can you talk to him? Like you guys are best friends for so long, so it would be better.
Ashlesha: I will GR.
Gaurav: I have to find out what is wrong with Preet too. Like he has been acting really weird with me for last some days.
Ashlesha: Is he? Okay, I will check on that too.
Gaurav: No, I think I better talk to him on my own. That will be better you know? Like the issue is between us, so we should solve it by ourselves.
Ashlesha: You got point Gaurav. But about Preet and Meher, you must have heard how Preet reacted too? He is also not admitting anything.
Gaurav: Yeah, don't tell any of them about the feelings of the other. Who knows, they might end up talking to each other about it and then the things turn out bad as both of them are not willing to admit.

Ashlesha: Hmm. Anyway Gaurav, I think we should go to our rooms now. I will talk to Viren as soon as I get a chance.
Gaurav: Oh yeah, it is getting late night. Good night Ash and don't worry Viren is a sensible guy, I think he will understand. Lastly, will you help me to make Preet and Meher realise their feelings?
Ashlesha: Obviously, come on. *Smiles* It is a done deal friend.
Gaurav: Done deal. *Smiles too*
Then they both shook hands before heading towards their own bedrooms.
