Zoya wants Ranveer in her next
The actor is on Bhansali's wish list too. Naturally
What happens when you deliver a box-office hit and win multiple awards for your performance? You've got directors queuing up for you. Ranveer Singh, who is riding high on Bajirao Mastani's success, has been approached by Zoya Akhtar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali for their projects.
The actor was spotted making an exit from Zoya's residence late on Sunday night. We hear, Ranveer spent over an hour with the director.
And this is not their first meeting this week. Before this, the two had another marathon meeting (6 hours, no less) on Friday night.
A source close to the actor tells us, "Zoya was really impressed with Ranveer in Dil Dhadakne Do. She is keen to cast him in her next project and has bounced off the idea to him. Ranveer too has shown interest."
Meanwhile, Bhansali also has gone to his favourite leading man to discuss the possibility of a third collaboration. After the period drama, it's a contemporary love story this time.
The source adds, "Ranveer and Bhansali had a meeting before the Filmfare Awards, where the director told him the rough idea of the story. He also told Ranveer that he'd like to start the movie sometime in August this year after he has wrapped up a major chunk of Befikre."
It remains to be seen whether the actor gives his nod to both the offers. And more importantly, which one he gives priority to.
