Given the overwhelmingly and universal positive reviews for Ranveer from critics and audience alike, I think he stands a strong chance of winning the best actor national award for BM. Not sure what the scene is like in regional cinema, but he seems to have a clear field as far as Bollywood is concerned. Absolutely zero competition for him this year!

What do you guys feel? Do you think he can bag the NA this year? And if he does, will it be well-deserved?

Its tough to ask this forum to think beyond BW but I will try. There are many thriving movie industries the south of Vindhyas and there may be no competition for Veer in BW but he has got some tough tough Competition from the South for National awards.

Am yet to watch BM so cant talk about it but there are some amazing award worthy performances down south this year from its leading men.

i don't think so. the role is too theatrical, NA usually prefers more understated work. but i do think, hands down, he had the best performance of this year.

NA they consider performances from regional too.. So cant be sure of NA.. But if there is a worthy contender from BW for this year's NA then its him..
