The correct term would be a courtesan. Women who danced at royal durbars were called courtesans.

Mastani was supposedly a princess, King Chhatrasal's daughter, she had training in poetry, dancing, warrior skills, thats all recorded.

But why would a princess dance at Bajirao Peshwa's court like a common courtesan, that is the question? 😕 Was she already gifted to Bajirao by Chhatrasal so she was performing a dance for him? Was she already married to him? If married, why would a Peshwa's wife dance in the durbar?

There is no logic to this...maybe the movie will reveal the reason why she is shown dancing at Peshwa's court.

I think the right word was courtesan. But it means the same.

In pinga u get two lovey dovey wives together dancing to merry.

But as per some HISTORICAL sources. The wives were not in amicable terms.

If u can turn a blind eye to the inaccuracies I think u can do the same for this thread too.

Laugh worthy seeing how fast things escalated. SMH.

What is so wrong or disgusting in asking about a "MOVIE CHRACTER" , Not everyone knows each and every detail of history/characters...and her "mastani ho gayi " song has similar setting so it does look confusing from promos/songs...
