Rochelle was completely right in her decision and explanation. Here's an analysis of all the options:
1. One presses the buzzer, other two work.
2. Two press the buzzer, the remaining works.
3. All press the buzzer, TWO of the HMs work.
4. None of them press the button, ONE HM works.
Scenario 1: Rochelle knew that M&Y will not press the buzzer.
If R hadn't pressed knowing that M&Y will not press, only ONE HM would work.
Conclusion: She was not selfish because why is it fair to let someone else do the work.
Scenario 2: Rochelle did not know WHO, if anyone, will press the buzzer.
...so if she hadn't pressed there were chances that no one would press the buzzer and only ONE HM would work.
...there were chances that all three of them would have pressed, so TWO HMs would work instead of just ONE so she took a chance and pressed to split up the work between two HMs
Conclusion: She was not selfish because even if all three pressed at least two HMs would work.
Scenario 3: Rochelle knew that M&Y will both press the buzzer
If R hadn't pressed, then she ALONE would have to work.
Conclusion: R would not have been selfish and new K&M gang would've all just laughed at the sacrificing goat saying she cannot think up to that level.
Scenario 4: Rochelle knew that ONLY one of M&Y will press the buzzer
ONLY and ONLY if she already knew from before which of them was going to press the buzzer would it be justified to call her selfish. But we would've seen a much bigger fight if they'd told her what they were going to do and she still didn't go with the plan.
And Rochelle's explanation made perfect sense that I knew you both will not press and some one other person should not do the work. She even said sorry to M&Y when she found out she was the only one who pressed. In fact, Mandana looked stupid when she said the safest option was to not press the buzzer. I want to ask Mandana, if the safest option is to not press then why the hell were she and Yuvika unsafe (sevak) by NOT pressing the buzzer. So Rochelle was correct (and smart) in pressing the buzzer to stay safe. The safest option was to press the buzzer. Mandana just sounded extremely dumb because she had no logical reason to explain why she did NOT press the buzzer.
Mandana called Rochelle "matlabi" but actually SHE was the selfish one because she wanted ONLY one person in the house to do ALL the work. And if she was that unselfish why was she cribbing later about having to do work. GG was sevak for like 8 weeks last season and yet he emerged and NEVER complained about work.
And even the HMs are so ungrateful. They should be thanking Rochelle for pressing the buzzer and saving their asses. The HMs were all shit scared that none of them will press the buzzer and only one will have to do all the work. Kishwer even jokingly asked Prince not to pick her. The fact is because of M&Y's stupidity ONLY one of them who doesn't break the rules would've had to work but they are spared because of Rochelle's smartness. But then again, these HMs have no brains to think so logically.
