No one cares about legal matters in the TV industry 😆
The marriage is legal when the couple first goes and gets a marriage certificate. Ritual wise - they are now husband and wife. Pheras, Sindoor and Mangalsutra is enough to bind them in the tv world. 😳

Two points, and SwaSan are married as per both -

*
If the couple have been living together while letting society believe they were married, or if a woman claims - and the man can't disprove - that consummation happened because he promised marriage, either way marriage is applied to ensure 'respectability' for the woman, actually so that no man can take advantage and then dump the woman.

*
Legality doesn't matter in serials.

So, the moment Sanskaar applied sindoor to Swara's maang, they were married right then as per majority-audience sensibilities. :))

If any serial pays attention to legality and illegality, it usually closes down with losses as a viewership-flop.

So don't get worried about this at all, please - SwaSan are absolutely married, and were safely considered so even before the full wedding took place.😳

It was not a CONTRACT... It was a god-damn MARRIAGE. Yes they were forced by Ragini but it was marriage nonetheless.
According to Hindu marriage Act 1955. they are married.

Condition for a Hindu Marriage

A marriage may be solemnized between any two Hindus, if the following conditions are fulfilled, namely:

(i) neither party has a spouse living at the time of the marriage;

(ii) at the time of the marriage, neither party,-
(a) is incapable of giving a valid consent of it in consequence of unsoundness of mind; or
(b) though capable of giving a valid consent has been suffering from mental disorder of such a kind or to such an extent as to be unfit for marriage and the procreation of children; or
(c) has been subject to recurrent attacks of insanity or epilepsy;

(iii) the bridegroom has completed the age of twenty one years and the bride the age of eighteen years at the time of the marriage;

(iv) the parties are not within the degrees of prohibited relationship unless the custom or usage governing each of them permits of a marriage between the two;

(v) the parties are not 'sapindas' of each other, unless the custom or usage governing each of them permits of a marriage between the two;

Ceremonies for a Hindu Marriage

(1) A Hindu marriage may be solemnized in accordance with the customary rites and ceremonies of either party thereto.

(2) Where such rites and ceremonies include the 'saptapadi' (that is, the taking of seven steps by the bridegroom and the bride jointly before the sacred fire), the marriage becomes complete and binding when the seventh step is taken.

Yaar... agar aisa hota toh India hi bohot saari marriages invalid hoti. There are many marriages which happen under pressure or force of faimly.

Several communities actually have 4-phere shaadi, so it may have caused headache in real life for those couples.😆 MEIEJ CVs wanted to emphasize that the marriage was incomplete and perhaps didn't care about the actuality.😕

Good question 😆 and I have an answer
The thing is swaragini is not ipkknd and madhubala
Those serial had only two leads arshi and rishbala
They had no choice
Arnav agar khushi ka nahi toh kissi ka nahi
Here we have sanky swara rags and lucky
Swasan nahi toh swalak and ragya nahi toh sangini they have choice
To be honest this SBB article has really shaken up my faith on my swasan I am really very scared for it 🥺

The marriage ofcourse is legal or not will depend upon if either of the one or there parents go to court and nullify it on the basis of forced marraige and shows them the proof
if no one goes and file any complaint and asks for nullification it will be legal
what im saying is there is a full chance to get this marriage as nullified
but as this is serial zyada se zyada they will do divorce and patch up drama but not nullification
