A simple village girl, Lajwanti is raised to
believe that a woman's duty is toward her husband. Bright-eyed and
cheerful, she is a spirited woman. Married to Sunderlal, she knows that
her husband is her lord and master and if he raises his hand to control
her, he does.
Sunderlal Bharadwaj is man with a stern nature
and a quick temper. When he doesn't get his way, he doesn't hesitate to
raise his hand against his siblings or his wife. He is a product of a
generation where a man's character was based on how well he controlled
his wife.
She is a tribal woman who
roams from one place to other while singing, dancing to earn for her
living. She knows the value of love will work as a catalyst to connect
the protagonists of the show.
