Hello Everyone

I am back with another update.

Chapter 21

Shyaam is sweating profusely with tension. He has been sitting in the realtor's office since early morning, but could not find a decent place to rent in Chandni Chowk, All the houses were overpriced. Keeping two women happy was an expensive job it seems.

He ran a frustrating hand through his hair "Please Sharmaji, I only want to rent it for a few months"

Shyaam thought that after marriage he can live off the Raizada's in RM some days and the rest of the days he will stay with his beautiful love, Khushi, in a posh locality. No more squalor for the love of his life.

His phone rang as he was going through the available options.

With a smile, he answered the call.

AT RM

After the morning rituals and breakfast, Ananya decided to rest awhile.

Today, Sheetal was coming to visit her. Poor girl, thought Ananya she wanted to marry Arnav, but her hopes were dashed. And there was no one to blame. Not Arnav, and definitely not Khushi. It was a blessing that the sweet girl still maintained her relations with the family and was not overly hurt, thought Ananya.

She was just passing her daughters room when he heard crying from within. Being a typical Mother she barged in her daughter's room to demand the reason for her tears.

Anjali is a strong girl, a Bhartiya Naari, she should be relieved that the true evilness of Shyaam was revealed to her before her marriage. DM had truly blessed her by sending Khushiji to Delhi. But she felt sad; knowing that the first man she gave her heart to betrayed her. She felt inadequate as a woman. Her dreams of getting married were shattered. And for this reason, she cried her eyes out, not because she loves Shyaam anymore, she cried for her dreams, her hopes.

Anjali felt a soft hand on her head and a soft voice asking her to share her problems. She raised her head and saw her mother's concerned face and did what every child in distress would do. She threw herself in her mother's arm and sobbed babbling about Shyaam's treachery and the other woman in his life.

Ananya was devastated knowing the true face of Shyaam. She could not fathom how anyone could betray her darling daughter. Ananya felt helpless seeing Anjali cry. She embraced Anjali and ran a soothing hand over her head and back. Anjali kept on crying, she was not making much sense, after some time, Anjali slept exhausted, after venting out her feelings.

Ananya quietly left the room and closed the door gently.

With a heavy heart she decided to visit the temple and turned to go downstairs.

Suddenly, she bumped into Sheetal.

Sheetal took one look at Ananya face and mentally rubbed her hand in glee "Auntyji are you alright, What happened Auntyji?" Managing to inject just the right amount of concern in her voice.

Ananya cupped her face lovingly "Nothing Beta, just going to Mandir"

Sheetal mind raced, it seems luck was on her side, if everything went perfectly Khushi will never be Arnav's wife. If marriages are made in heaven, thought Sheetal evilly, they can be broken on Earth.

"Auntyji, I will accompany you, you don't look well"

Ananya smiled and nodded.

Sheetal and Ananya left in one car.

Sheetal chattered away the whole ride hardly paying attention to what she was saying. Just as the car was about to stop in front of the Mandir frequented by the Raizada' s. Sheetal signaled the driver to keep on driving.

Ananya turned to her with questions in her eyes.

Sheetal smiled happily "Auntyji, there is small Mandir ahead, why don't we pray there, it is said to be very peaceful"

Ananya only smiled. All she wanted to do was sit in front of DM and pray for the well-being of her daughter. It did not matter which temple she went to pray to.

The car stopped in front of a small temple which looked deserted.

Ananya and Sheetal started ascending the temple stairs.

Sheetal kept on looking everywhere in anticipation on what was about to come.

Ananya noticed her fidgetiness "Are you fine beta? Should we go back? We can come later?"

"NO" Sheetal nearly shouted and mentally slapped herself and cautioned herself to be appear calm and composed, it wouldn't look right to appear overly eager to enter a temple.

They entered the temple together and went towards the Idol.

The priest was busy performing a pooja for a couple sitting together with their backs to Ananya. They were accompanied by an elderly lady.

Ananya heard the priest mentioning the auspicious dates on which the wedding could be performed.

Ananya wanted to cry seeing the couple. She pictured her daughter sitting in the similar fashion with her face glowing, eagerly listening to the auspicious dates the family purohit was reciting for her wedding.

A wedding which will never happen now, all thanks to a scum and cheat. Tears threatened to overflow, but she somehow managed to control them and turned to Sheetal "Beta, lets wait till the pandit completes the pooja, then we will approach him"

Sheetal nodded and dragged her to a corner where they can see the couple clearly.

"Soon Auntyji, your Anjali will be sitting in this girl's place, and her fiance in the boy's place, she will be starting a new life with her husband, I am so happy for her, Anjali and Shyaam loves each other so much" Sheetal whispered to Ananya evilly.

Few tears escaped Ananya eyes listening to Sheetal. She hastily wiped them off.

The pandit tied the holy thread around the wrist of the couple and gestured them to rise and take DM blessing.

The couple still with their back to Ananya went towards DM and bowed their heads in prayers.

Together they turned.

Ananya gasped loudly.

Sheetal wanted to jump in delight and joy, finally.

The couple was none other than Shyaam and Khushi.

Ananya face paled looking at Khushi and Shyaam together.

She staggered back.

Seeing Shyaam with other girl would have been bad enough, but seeing him with her bahu was like a knife twisting in her heart. The tears which she had previously held back flowed from her eyes. Ananya turned and ran blindly towards the car.

Sheetal smiled and mentally patted herself on the back. All thanks to one call and information, she successfully managed to break Khushi and Arnav's marriage.

Flashback

Sheetal was about to enter RM, when she received a call from the detective hired by her to gather information about Khushi.

Taking care that no one noticed her she went towards the garden and listened as the detective said that Shyaam and Khushi will be visiting a temple for pooja and to decide the date for their wedding. Sheetal's eyes widened as this piece of information registered in her brain. She already knew from the previous reports submitted by the detective that Shyaam was engaged to Khushi a couple of years back, she knew about Shyaam's intention and decides to kill two birds with one stone. By showing Shyaam's true face to Ananya she will save the Raizada's fortune from Shyaam's hands and they will be forever indebted to her, and she will break Arnav & Khushi's Marriage. Later Sheetal mused she will lend a shoulder to the grieving Raizada's and marry Arnav.

With purpose she went inside RM to search for Ananya and convince her to visit the temple.

By luck, she came upon Ananya and Anjali's conversation, about how Shyaam was cheating Anjali with some other girl.

The time had come to put her plans into fruition.

Flashback Ends

She put on a concerned face and ran after Ananya. She caught up with her as she was about to enter the car.

"Auntyji, what happened?"

Ananya started crying hysterically " I need to visit Arnav now, he needs to know about this, he will know what to do, hey DM,his marriage can't continue, not with that girl, I have to disclose this truth to him and make him divorce her"

Sheetal barely controlled her joy and said somberly " I will take you to him Aunty, lets go"

I am confused...why is Khushi doing all this...is this her plan to teach Shyam a lesson...guess Ananya doesnt know that Anjali n Khushi were trapped by Shyam and they are in it together to make Shyam learn the lesson of his life...

And why is Ananya saying about Khushi already being her bahu...

Also i think if this is Khushi's plan then Arnav n Anjali knows about it , right ?

Hope So, wont want Sheetal to win at any cost...not even an acknowledgement that she would get married to Arnav someday

Sheetal dug ahole for herself. But she in one way is clearing the path for khushi. Ananya is accepting khushi due to arnav' acceptance of the marriage but now she will she khushi in a new light. But for that arnav have to clear her misunderstanding. Also it would be better if sheetal is out of picture.
