Recently there were reports of Salman Khan deleting Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty's lip-lock scenefrom Hero. We were been told that the mentor-father doesn't want his children(Sooraj-Athiya) to kiss onscreen. In fact, even Hero director Nikhil Advani couldn't do much about it and said, "In one of the songs, Khoya khoya, the two are lying in the back of a truck when Sooraj pulls a blanket over them and kisses Athiya. It was just a peck... A brush of the lips... But even before I could see it, Salman did, and insisted on editing it out. His argument was that in all these years, he had never kissed onscreen, so there was no reason for his children' to lock lips."
While it was quite surprising to hear something like this to have happened on the sets of Hero. Salman finally opens up on the whole issue giving it a different angle. During the recently Hero concert, a reporter asked him as to why did he delete a kissing scene and he retorted, "There was no kissing scene in the film. We wanted to put one but they refused (smiles). On further insistence, he added, "Now I haven't done a kissing scene, so how can I ask them to do it. And I don't think Nikhil is also interested. I don't think Sooraj-Athiya are also interested. I don't think anyone is interested. I don't think even you are interested." He trolled the reporter big time saying, "Why do you want to see someone else kiss. You should kiss yourself."
However, Salman did agree to the fact that he chopped about 30 minutes of the film for the betterment of viewers.
