I loved Ranbir in Rockstar and it was the character of Jordan which made me interested in Ranbir !
Before that I kinda used to detest him. LOL

But as a movie WUS is any day better!

Rocket Singh is such a nice movie. Ending (the confrontation) is a little bit too convinient but Manish choudary was so good that it really didn't matter. Other than that, the supporting cast was amazing too, the guy who is addicted to po*n movies, Gauhar and Ranbir's boss, the chashmish. 😆 Everybody gave such an awesome performances. It's one of my favourite movies. Sometimes I feel really happy that YRF comes with such movies every now and then. Ranbir and Prem Chopra were really good. I like the songs too. Sid is an easy character to like, but Harpreet isn't, performance of that character is what makes it likeable. Neither too loserish, nor ultra-smart. It's just a perfect mix of being ambitious and street-smart with a tinge of guilt. 😆

YES. Love that movie. Great story, great characters, great acting. The story was simple but engaging and also carried an important message about growing up which I think Ayan tried to re-attempt in YJHD but fell far behind Wake Up Sid's impact on me. I can watch the movie at any time.

Loved Ranbir in Rocket Singh! Such a pity, the film didn't do well. It was a really nice movie. He was very good in Rajneeti also. WUS is the kind of role Ranbir can do in his sleep. He was natural in the film, but it was not an extraordinary performance in any manner.

No Rocket Singh..hands down!
It's one of the rare gems of BW..subtle, sensible and beautifully enacted.

i liked him in all recent movies except ROY...his best were rockstar, barfi, wakeup sid, rocket singh..so no preference there as his roles were different...these roles were in his comfort zone and he nailed each of them...

he tried his best in besharam and BV too and i liked his act, his effort was commendable...but this transition hasn't worked so far for the masses... i am eager to see him succeed in larger than life roles, action, thrillers, period... a versatile actor for me is the most important virtue of being an actor...so contrary to most ranbir fans, i am not at all interested in Tamasha...
but i am curious for sanju n kishore biopic...more sanju because for kishore, he would more or less act like in barfi n BV but for Sanju biopic, things are difficult and he has to become a complicated character..
If Sanju biopic works, Ranbir will return back to the top of the field

Its a BW movie, the ending is bound to be too good to be true😆 And yes the performances of the supporting cast were spot on. Gauhar is a better actress than what people will ever give her credit for, the other members of the Rocket sales co. were great too👍🏼 Prem Chopra was adorable as the doting father, I really loved his chemistry with Ranbir😳

I actually liked Harpreet way better than sid or any of the other guys ranbir has played onscreen... I think thats because harpreet felt like a very real character... Like you said, he had some goals in life but through the course of the film he also learnt to set some moral boundaries...Unlike sid or bunny I somehow related more with harpreet and his struggles.

I am kind of guilty though that I watched the film this late 😆... Now when I think of it, I feel a little sad that Rocket Singh is the least popular of Ranbir's 2009 releases 😆...Especially because I think this was his best film from that year and it might just be my favorite Rk performance.
