Okay i wasn't going to post this, coz I'm too tired now to care, but after a lot of insistence from mas and matsh doing so so here we go👍🏼😆
this quote just about sums up the entire show for me right now so titled it after it only. You can't build a great building on a weak foundation. You must have a solid foundation if you're going to have a strong superstructure.
When this show started, the base of each and every single track used to be really really strong, whether it was the first leap, when Ranveer gets kicked out coz of Disha and returns as RV or even the hate track. BOTH tracks were completely justified from BOTH of their respective POVs. In the former, Ishaani shock and disbelief over her best friend being in love with her and feeling cheated, and Ranveer's revenge against the Parekhs (which went nowhere🤔🤣 but yeah) even the hate track, he had his reasons for acting the way he did, she had her own reasons for acting the way she did.. Those tracks took place coz of a legit believable and solid reasoning.
However then the 6 month leap took place and everything just got completely effed up.
It started literally the day the leap took place, Ishaani blaming herself for the murder just coz she THOUGHT Ranveer killed Chirag was idiotic as hell. She had no proof, she didnt once ask him, yet she just assumed he killed Chirag, took the blame on her head, divorced him, went off to jail and was all set to die, allowing Ri to emotionally manipulate Ranveer and take her place in the house. This was the first time in this show where a track happened for the mere heck of separating the leads, ignoring whether or not it makes any sense, ignoring whether or not it has any base behind it..
Further continued when she came out of jail, and ASSUMED he impregnated Ri and decided to keep away. She had no proof, no reasoning, she just thought what she wanted to think and again, said a whole bunch of crap to him, turned him into stone and left. The three month long utter BS we got in the name of CCs was again laid on a very very weak foundation, its Ranveer's kid.. She KNOWS he loves her, yet thought he'd randomly sleep around with Ri coz he was "broken"😳😆
Now once AGAIN they've done the exact same thing with her promise.. Yes everyone is cribbing non stop about the same thing and I'm not doing anything different, I'm here to crib about that too...😆😆😆
She's back ASSUMING Ri will harm Ranveer fair enough, but what on earth gave her that idea??? Did Ri say ANYTHING along those lines??? No.. Then where did her i must save Ranveer come from??? What is she saving him from when Ri hasn't even tried harming in any goddamn way since they've been together..Once AGAIN the entire foundation of her returning to him is weak as hell, coz she has no reasoning behind it.. Add to this, her promise and we're set.
IF she made a promise, what right does she have to lecture him on his relationship with Ritika when she's doing the exact same thing??? Why is she acting like his wife 24/7 and emotionally blackmailing him and manipulating him when she's just going to leave him again?? Why does she want the old Ranveer back who used to love her when she's just going to break his heart again.. and IF she's there to just prove a point i.e. that Ri is evil fair enough too, but again she needs to stop with her manipulations then, coz its not fair..👎🏼👎🏼
This track has a TON of potential, the upcoming IshVeer scenes look amazing!! but again, the foundation of Ishaani returning is once again weak for 2 reasons, her promise, and the fact that Ri never indicated she'll harm Ranveer in any way whatsoever..
CVs you used to be really really good at starting tracks, what on earth happened???😆😆
