Ananya prided herself in being an eternal optimist. She considered herself to be someone who even in a quagmire could find a way to weasel out. She was not a quitter!

Just last 7 days made her re think if she really knew herself. She didn't even know if she knew the person who was staring back at her from the mirror.

She had aged a decade in the last 7 days.

She learnt of her father's demise. She learnt that her best friend was in love with her. She learnt she was in love with a man who would never return her love. She was neck deep in office politics and she learnt that owner's daughter hated.

Of all the thinks that hurt her the most was Kabir's indifferent attitude. It was like she didn't exist for him and now she had enough. She stared at the paper in front of her and this she reminded herself was for her sanity.

She folded her resignation and neatly put it in the KKN envelope. She looked at his cabin and found it to be empty. She opened the door and quietly put the letter on his ebony desk - exactly where she had placed the resignation earlier !

She took a deep breath and took in his cabin once again. A part of her would live in this office!

' To what do I owe your presence in my cabin'- she heard Kabir from behind her and she stilled.

Ananya you can do this she told herself and she turned to face the man who had haunted her day and dreams.

She looked at him and told him -' Application sir. It is on your desk'

She turned to go towards the hallway when Kabir blocked her path

'Application ? Another holiday Miss Kashyap ? ' - he smirked.

He loved rattling her up. She always rose to the bait - hook , line and sinker. He knew he had been curt to her the last 5 days. But she was a fighter !

' No Sir, its my resignation' - she told him softly not meeting his eye.

The smirk that played on Kabir's face faltered. He took in the resigned looked on her face and resolve in her eyes- she would not stay back this time!
