Is the only reason Qubool hai killed off Shaad's family is because they want Sanam to feel guilt into staying with him? Like supposedly today Shaad's dad on his death bed told Sanam that Shaad loves her and took a promise from her that she'll never leave Shaad and she complied and told him she'll never leave him. Like are they making Shaad completely alone so Sanam even when she finds Aahil again and her memories she feels like she has to stay with him because she promised his dad and because he's completely alone and has no one? Like there's a reason why they had Shaad's dad take that promise from her and I feel like they might be going down this route.
Either that or they made her give that promise so that when she still doesn't have her memories or knows the truth and when she gets drawn to Aahil her "marriage" to Shaad might not be enough to make her stay so she'd stay because of the promise. Like she'd feel feelings for Aahil but then remember her promise and the fact that she promised Shaad's dad she'd never leave him alone?
Because aside from that everyone knows that as soon as she gets her memories back she'd go straight back to Aahil but maybe they want there to be a struggle even after her memories are back so basically they're adding the guilt of her unknowing promise on top of it. It'll be a battle between her promise to a dying man and Shaad's "ehsaan" on her and her strong love for Aahil.
Kind of like how Zoya sometimes felt when she had to stay with Ayaan out of pity for the household members and Nikhat. Sanam might feel like she can't leave Shaad because he's lost everyone and she knows what it feels like to lose parents so she might feel pity for him.
But no matter what Zoya's intentions, they always flew out the window as soon as Asad turned up. She could never stop herself from throwing herself in Asad's arms whenever she saw him because she loved him too much. Maybe this will be the same case here. She'll get drawn to Aahil again and again. She'll choose her mohabbat like her ammi rather than the promise she supposedly made to Shaad's father. Because like Zoya said:
"Mohabbat ka rishta iss duniya ki sab hi rasmu, rawazu aur kasmu se bara hota ha. Yaha kar muqaddar se be bara"
And that's what Sahil have. A junoon filled mohabbat ka rishta.
"Isiliye mein usse ki saath jaana chahti hoon jise mein mohabbat karti hoon. Aur agar mein ne esa nahin kiya tho mohabbat ki toheen ho jaye gi jo iss duniya ki sab se bari taaqat hai aur mein esa nahin kar sakte kyunki mein Mr Khan se bohut mohabbat karti hoon"
Also another thing that does come to mind is:
"Jab milne ko bitaab ho do dil,
ek khaab ho,
unhi muqaddar kya roke ga,
ab mohabbat ki jeet ka jashan sara zamana deke ga"
So no doubt Sahil and their mohabbat will win.
But tbh I hope this idea of the promise coming back to bite Sanam on thr back even after she gets her memories back doesn't happen because it'd really lower my respect for Sanam just like it lowered my respect for Zoya during the Zoyaan track.
It's not Sanam's fault that she got memory loss and has been lied to and therefore promised unknowingly to a dying man that she'd stay with his son. She wasn't aware of the whole details or circumstances therefore she is in no way obliged to feel guilty or keep that promise. And it isn't her fault that Shaad lost his parents either. I can understand her feeling sorry for him but she is in no way obliged to feel like she has to stay with him even after she gets her memories back. In fact she is totally entited to be furious and never talk to him again when she gets her memories back if she wants because whilst yes he lost his family, it DOES NOT take away from the fact that he not only used her but took away her free will and choice and lied to her and kept her away from her loved ones. She has every right to be angry at him for that and she owes him nothing.
