@pearl and dexter: I have a question for you guys. What are the hypothetical scenes you two would have loved to see while raj was still a part of the show. I mean we all dream of certain sequences to be enacted by our favourites. U guys had any such?? I'm sure there must have been plenty. :D

Sujal: "kya karoon, insaano ki duniya mujhe raas hi nahi aayi; wahaan sab kuchch mila siwaye insaaniyat ke."

Indeed, he is not a human being, he is a Greek God with the charms of devil!!

And Sujal's dialogues are so hard hitting!
This uber sexy dude has a killer attitude!!

And how is Kashish even able to spew all the crap after seeing the red hot devil in that impeccable black poloneck?? *me swoons, drools and faints*

Dexter had given us a hypothetical situation for kashish dying/slipping into coma. Me.she and paradigm had this amazing discussion on it. Here, I'll quote it for u:

Hey girls , suppose is Kashish would slip into coma after the accident which she had planned for her and sujal , then any body can imagine how would sujal react to this ?

Sujal would go berserk n kill the hospital staff, the mechanic and finally off himself!!
Or he might be a permanent resident of Balaji Mental Hospital!!

Like seriously Dexter, you cant bear to see him happy or what!! 😉
Poor guy got some happiness before his death and u want to snatch that also!!

Okay, on a serious note I dont think he would commit suicide or end up mental.
He would be a walking dead body, breathing for the sake of living!
He would function in the most robotic manner, and be closed off to every emotion.
He might interact with Mumma and Rishi.
He will immerse himself completely in his work..
Only Akshat would be the individual who might get an insight of his feelings through some words uttered by Sujal. As in , when Akshat carries a super drunk Sujal home, Sujal might utter something along the lines of "Kya mai itna bura hu Akshat, jo woh mujhe chod gayi!"
Or Akshat n Sujal busy in work one fine day n Aki tries to talk to Sujal abt Kashish , n Sujal brushing off the subject saying " Ab toh bas saasei khatm hone ka intezaarhai"

Idealistically, I would love him to finally move on aftercthis stage if unbearable grief!!
A grief has 3 stages- denial, acceptance, indifference n finally moving on!

For at the point u r killimg of kashish, sujal wont hv any good memories of kashish!
Every memory is heartbreaking! - This might make him regret the times lost.
But knowing Sujal, he wud never move on. He wud also keep Kashish on a pedestal and keep worshipping her, loving her, dieing a little each day. He wud curse his existance for not being able to save hrr.

"Kashish hai toh Sujal hai warna kuch nahi"- he would be dead inside.

I forgot to add on - in sujal's pov kashish died to be alonwith him - this will add on to his guilt.
His grief wont let him live for a long time!!

See, I depicted the case of Kashish's death.
Here, I present a scenario 2: KASHISH IN COMA:
Well this would be a slightly better option!
He would live with an eternal hope of kashish waking up.
In the beginning, he would pretend to be cheerful n optimistic infront of his family and visiting her daily with flowers.
But as the days will pass, his carefully crafted veneer will slip off.
Everyone would start seeing the cracks appearing!
Sujal in the hospital room would sometimes plead with her, sometimes scold her, sometimes order her to wake up.

Saying things like:
Kashish , ab uth jao, dekho bohut aaram hogaya!!!

See sweetheart, I got ur fav chocolates!!

Akshat, isse bolo na ki zidd chode aur utth jaye!!

Yeh doctors paagal hai, kuch bhi kehte hai, tum lautogi naa kashish. Tumhara sujal mar jatega tumhaare bina!!

And finally one day , after a year or so he would have an emotional breakdown:
kashish, ab aur bardaasht nahi hota mujhse, ye kaisi sazaa de rahi ho.
Abhi to tumhe mujhe piyush ki maut ka badla lena hai , laut aayo, tumhaari har sazaa sar aakho par !! Bas yeh nhi kashish.

He would provoke her to wake up..
Piyush ki widwa ho na tum kashish!! Itni kamzoor kaise pad gayi?? Utho, saza do mujhe, warna sab kahenge ki sujal jeet gaya!!

Finally he would give up but still keep on visiting her..
He would never let the doctors pull off the plug...

i like your theories in both the cases, infact imagining sujal in kashish's shoes as a widower is interesting at many points, because you can draw several comparisons.

If kashish would die-

How easy its to imagine that Sujal would lose it, i feel he would be in deep depression for may be years or moths, infact imagining a scenario where Sujal mourns and cries for a dead kashish gives me shivers down my spine. I would love to watch such a sequence, Rajeev would portray that amazingly. But yeah let somethings stay with our imaginations only.

Incase if he would lose her in the same accident which she herself had planned, that would rip off sujal's soul, with guilt, terror and unending sadness, incompleteness may be that he could not save her and moreover she died with a grudge and misunderstanding against him. It would be really disastrous, because all his life he served her, and if she would die without knowing the truth, this itself would be so wrong . I am glad that he was successful in saving kashish, and kashish very well knew that Sujal saved her risking his own life which induced a lot of guilt and self hatred within her, and she was so helpless after reading his diary, where his pain and yearn for her was so obvious. A man who had so much love in his heat, could never kill anybody, thats what kashish needed to realize .

If kashish would die, Sujal would be more like a zinda laash, i think he would enclose himself into a shell of misery, probably even stop sharing any of his feelings with Akshat and even his mother, he would stay insensitive to all the surrounding happenings, and probably would never allow any other woman enter his life.

If kashish would slip to coma-

he first thing sujal would say is that " she is still breathing ", and she has to breathe till my breath stops.. he says a similar thing to the doctor when he brings her to the hospital, and he writes a similar thing in his diary also.
As you said, kashish being in coma would still give him hope, and he could wait for a decade and even a century for her to get back in her senses, for him his life would be all about treating kashish and never letting the hope go.
He would smile when he would be with her, he would talk a lot and put up a happy face to counter his family and friends who would ask him to think about his own life too.
He would be a support system for Prof.Sinha and his other daughters.

The kind of love Sujal had for kashish is nonexistent in real world, yes it was fiction, but there was so much strength and power in his love that i would feel that such men definitely exist , atleast a few of them. Forgetting the real world and leaving every success, happiness and opportunity behind and giving every bit of his life to a woman, what a big fanatic he was . No wonder after his demise, Kashish says that sujal does not need to exist to be loved by her, he had given her so much love that she could complete a whole lifetime, and this heart cried so much that may be there was this point when kashish realized that how much sujal has loved her.

this was by my reply:

@DexterRocks
What do u think would be worse-her dying or slipping in coma?? And the coma is a perpetual one, doctors hv absolutely no hope, no miraculous recovery.

If she dies
IMO, Sujal would not live long after it. I m not saying that he would kill himself, no Sujal Garewal is not that weak...
But his grief would kill him little by little, every day.
It would be painful for him to exist in a world without her .
Also, they have no good memories, nothing that would help him to pass through this depression of living in such dire state.

His life would be completely blank, without any meaning. He would simply exist.
His guilt of not saving her would be toxic!

Okay , I hv a question: What if Kashish dies some yrs after the marriage leaving a kid behind?
Or the more angsty option, she dies diring childbirth! What would happen of Sujal now?? Will he love his child??
(All misunderstandings had been cleared. Only love remained. )
Will Sujal blame his child for the loss of the only woman he loved?

KASHISH IN COMA
Initially he would be too hopeful. But if u consider it realistically, how long would he be hopeful??
Say 5 yrs pass by or even more, then??

IMO, Kashish in coma would lead to Sujal losing a touch with the real world. He would be constantly visiting her, keeping his eternal hope aflame.
He would lose a grip with the reality, everybody would move on including Rishi n. Akshat- they will hv their liives to deal with!

Live does not stop with the loss of a person. As time passes by, people move on. (Even if they dont find another person, thegrief reduces. The void of the person that left us, forever remains but time heals all wounds.
And what does not kill us makes us stronger.
Now based on this, will he ever move on??
Or life will stop for him and he will finally lose his sanity??

P.S. I dont think Kashish's state after Piyush 's death would be parallel to this imaginary scenario!!
She always had Sujal.in her heart- be it in the form of love or hatred!!
Moving on was a tad bit easier for her.
Sujal in this scenario, would be emptyhanded- he would have no aim, no inspiration...

This was by Dexter

@pearl
Yes if she would die, Sujal would let go very easily. Yes he is not a man to attempt suicide , but i think he would not even have that much sense that dying willingly can take him back to his kashish.
Basically the grief would eat him up, slowly, day by day, he would realize that existing without Kashish, is just far more than impossible for him.

His guilt would be the slow poison in his life, i think her memories would haunt her, because if she would die, he would not have a moment to remember where she had confessed that she loved him and was happy with him, so this would pierce his soul that how he failed to make her happy, failed to love her immensely, failed to give her whatever he wanted to give her, or whatever she expected from him.

Sujal's love for kashish would remain a saddistic memory for him and this would never let him live nor let him die a peaceful death even.

Okay if she leaves a kid behind and dies, he would probably see the kid as her shadow and dedicate his life to the kid. But if she dies during the child birth, and if the situation is as worse as save the kid or the mother, and kashish takes his vow to save her child, then i think knowing how twisted Sujal is, and how his emotions can ruin his existence, i think initially, or rather for half of his life, he would loathe the kid. No form of love, or emotional bonding could make him forget that the kid got his life because kashish had to die, and Sujal Garewal can accept and reject everything based on his life which is interwined with kashish and only kashish, and not her descendants.

Kshish in coma

As you said if we thing realistically , but when has been sujal real in this thinking ? Was he real when he vowed to win her love back after she misunderstands him ad breaks all tie ? Was he real to propose her on the 12th day of her husband's demise ? Was he real to to let her take her revenge from him ? Was he real to take the accusation that he was a fraud , so that he could save her ? Was he ever real ?

So why do we expect him to behave normally and realistically when Kashish slips into coma ? Yes he would detach himself from the natural living process, people around him would move on, and he would stick to his life, a life build up with a hope and desire to see kashish gain back her life, a life with a never ending yearn to see his kashish back in his life, and i think for Sujal's existence, with a living figure of kashish, his alone love was enough for both of them.
He could happiy die with kashish and her memories in his heart, but he could never happily live with kashish's demise or with any other woman in his life.

i remember Akshat's one dialogue where he tells to kashish that " Suja ka pyaar aisa hai ke kashish, woh tumhe dil mei basake marr sakta hai lekin tumhe jail mei dekh ke jee nahi sakta .. Ha woh dhokebaaz hai kyuki woh ye sabkuch jaan ke bhi tumhe kabhi pata nahi chalne diya ". these lines were so brutally heartbreaking .

No we all saw kashish's state after piyush's death, and it again was very much about how sujal affected her, she may not agree, but the kind of influence sujal has on her heart, and the degree of yearn her heart had for anything about sujal, is something more than that off her feelings for piyush.
Sujal's existence mattered to her a lot, because when you see her showering all her frustations, guilt, anger over sujal, you realize that how much she needs him, how much she is dependent on him.

Moving on was not her choice but her majboori, she moved on from sujal because she was ritually binded to piyush, she had to do it, it was not because she wanted to do it. But forgetting sujal was not possible for her, be it for her hatred or love, he was the only man who has resided in her heart, conquered over her emotions, influenced her to go to an extreme level of actions and suffering.

You are spot on with Sujal's staye after her death. She would easily die as a result of some heart disease- actually he would give up on life with no desires to live!!
As you said the loss of kashish coupled with the feelings of failure to provide her any happiness- would damage him irreversibly.
I doubt that even death would be his cure- he wont have a reson to live nor ann excuse to die!!

Kashish in coma
Yeah my mistake to accept anything realistic from him. Waise bhi zamane ke rules ko Sujal.ne kab follow kia??
He would keep his hopes forever. "Sujal zinda hai toh Kashush bhi theek.hogi"

Akshat n his dialogues- the man was truely a gem! Y did he turn out be a Garewal??

Kashish was always dependent on Sujal. She showered her every emotion on him!
Ajeeb si interdependency thi- yeh pyaar karta tha, wo nafrat barsaati thi,
yeh uski khishiyo ke liye marta tha, wo uski har khushi cheenna chahti thi...

She had this yearning for Sujal. And the grief of Sujal's death would destroy her if we keep up with her character!
No doubt kashish would live on after Sujal's death, but she would never be happy!
For Sujal was her anchor. With him she dared to be herself n broke out all the norms- be it the extreme hatred she felt for him. Mohabbat, nafrat, disgust, helplessness- everything was for him.
There would never be another man for her!
Actually kth ruined kashish after sujal's death- they shud've shown more grief and less men in her life!!
I was disgusted with her behaviour post his death...

THE KID
I saved their kid for the last. Yeah, if kashish dies , Sujal wud definitely dedicate his life to the kid- he/she being his sole reason to live! He might even spoil the child a bit.

But if the kid lives at the cost of kadhish's death
No doubt Sujal would be unable to love the kid initially.
But dear, u r forgetting an imp. aspect of Sujal.
He never had good relations wid his father. He never had his father to hold on too.
He knows a life without a father- specially an absrntile one or one who hates his kid.
He had been through it.
Do u think that Sujal would condemn his unfortunate motherless child- to such a life??
The child which is not only Kashish's descendant but the last symbol of their love!
His initial hatred will be there for the kid- but is he so cruel to snatch the child from the love of his remaining parent??
It would be a very difficult love hate feeling he would feel.for his child!
Also, if kashish can take a vow to save the said child, wont she extract another one to have him love the child.

P.S. In any case, Rishi chachu is going to spoil the child silly!!!

some things remain inexplicable , and so is sujal's love for kashish, and kashish's love for him. Sujal is the more extreme one, the more sympathized one, the more vulnerable one, i believe that being in love was his biggest weakness and simultaneously his biggest strength too.

weakness because, he was forced to accept a life of grief and accusations, a lonely life where his love was misunderstood, was not valued, and that killed him brutally, turned him into a very numb and complex man, hardly he would be understood by people surrounding him, rarely he would get the love his heart yearned for.

Strength because, unknowingly he kept conquering and salvaging most of kashish's emotions and her life, his existence guided the course of her life, he did not want it, she did not it, but it still happened. Had he not been so vocal and a sharp lover , kashish would never mistake the intensity and reach of his love, be it him challenging her about being his, or be it him taking the whole blame to save her, both cases he has been extreme, gone beyond a logical level, which would literally make her sanity go for a toss, she was a real woman, mature woman, but tell me one thing she could never conclude anything straight and logical about sujal being part of her existence, thats only because her emotions for him was her weakness and his strength.

Her biggest defense was that she was somebody else's wife, and she could easily hide and cover up her feelings and emotions, bury sujal's effect under her patni dharam, but once she would be provoked, her emotions would erupt like a volcano, and she would burn sujal and herself both in that fire, thats more because she always wanted to get rid of sujal, get rid off his feelings, get rid of his memories, but she failed to. She never had a closure on her love for him, sujal always knew that his closure would be maximum his death, but kashish did not even know how to accept the kind of love sujal showers on her, he was anything but real and that fact itself would baffle her that he is crazy but why is he making me crazy too ?

The kid

The thought of them having a kid gives me such a pleasure. i wish they would have one.
Now you have given a whole new angle to sujal's fatherhood, and you have a point that how can he wrong his kid when he understands the consequences of a fatherless childhood. But i still feel that kashish's loss is a bigger and far more effective emotion for him something which influences him in a wider manner. Yes he could accept the kid only by thinking about kashish, by thinking that the kid is kashish's shadow, sign of their love, sacrfice of kashish's life, he would rather treasure it and love the kid and not abandon him. But that would still take a lot of time for sujal to recover from kashish's demise

Rishi and Veena would be the best thing happening to sujal's kid, i mean the kid would be crazily loved by one and all, be it the garewals or be it the sinha clan. and i am sure the whole clan to make Sujal believe that the kid is last memory of kashish, and how the kid deserves to be loved and not t be ignored. Sujal would probably bawl, and break down, and later on kashish's soul coming to him and asking him to accept her baby , if he wants to see her happy.
