Vinod khanna n Kabir bedi to play srk n kajol's dads

After playing Sallu's babuji in Dabangg, the veteran actor will now play SRK's papa in Rohit Shetty's next.

Vinod Khanna, who played Chulbul Pandey's father in Dabangg and Dabangg 2, has now found a new son in Salman's foeturned-friend Shah Rukh Khan. The veteran actor has been roped in to play SRK's father in the film which is a quintessential action-comedy. 

A source close to the development told Mirror, "Vinod Khanna has worked with Salman in three films but he has never shared screen space with SRK. This is an important role which drives the narrative forward and Rohit required someone with a strong personality who could effortlessly pull it off." 

The narration took place a few weeks ago and the senior actor, the sitting MP from Gurdaspur, readily agreed to come on board. 

Added the source, "Most of his scenes are with his sons, played by SRK and Varun Dhawan. He's a stern father with an unusual comedic timing and will be styled accordingly."

Kabir Bedi will play Kajol's father 

Kabir Bedi, who is making his big comeback as the antagonist in Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama Mohenjo Daro, is also a part of Rohit Shetty's upcoming comedy. "SRK and Kajol have a strong romantic track and there are several confrontational scenes between Kabir and Shah Rukh Khan," informed the source. 

Like any Rohit Shetty film, this one too will be shot in Goa and will have cars blowing up. Kriti Sanon plays Varun's love interest. The film flags off in Mumbai in April but SRK will only join the cast in May.
