Sonam nominated, but ANUSHKA skipped..were they HIGH ON SOMETHING?

For a change this year Filmfare handed over awards to the deserving ones like most to the well deserved Queen's team.

But filmfare never stop to shock the audience.

In best actress nominations ..

Sonam was nominated for her below average acting in Khoobsurat😲

Anushka was not nominated for her brilliant performance in PK 😲

I mean are you serious 😕

Some more surprising things were

Raju hirani not getting best director award for pk

Highway was not even nominated as best movie and for best direction

Fawad getting best debut instead of Tiger for heropanti

What you think about all this...

Especially about anushka and sonam' nomination shocker.

I was shock to see sonam in the nominee. Ff ignored anushka and hirani. Very disappointed👎🏼

Sonam definitely did not deserve a nomination. They should have left it at 5: Alia, Kangana, Madhuri, Priyanka, Rani.

In my opinion next in line should be: Parineeti (Hasee Toh Phasee), Anushka (PK), Vidya (Bobby Jasoos), Rekha (Super Nani), even Deepika (Finding Fanny) or Shraddha (Ek Villain) were better performances than Sonam in Khoobsurat.

Exactly..I am a sonam fan, but no way she reserved the nomination over anushka and even padineeti for htp and others you have mentioned.

No doubt all big names of the industry like a amir, salman (he performs at awards but never reveives them even if he won like in dabangg) Ajay devgan, sunny deol etc don't beleive in these shitty award funstions and the new generation is also not taking them way too seriously..kangana is an example.

The thing is, FF nominations are 50% popularity based and 50% Jury based. Considering the sane nominees list put out by FF, I don't think we are in the position to completely negate their choices. After all, they are jury members and one would think that they would have more expertise on films and acting than IF members, unless you specialise in critiquing of course.

Judge all you want, but Sonam did deliver a stellar performance in Khoobsurat in my opinion and judging by the fact that she was nominated in Filmfare, seems like critics back up my point of view too.

Not to mention the fact that Khoobsurat was a female centric film and PK was not. It mainly rested on the storyline and Aamir for BO performance. While Anu's role did complement Aamir's, it wasn't really a chunky role.

Looking at the FF nominations for best actress, it certainly looks like only the female centric roles got a nod from the critics.

I'm hoping Anu gets a nomination for NH10 this year.

I mentioned somewhere love him or hate him.. krks award was the most fair award of the year.. Filmfare is crap just like most indian awards.. Don't take them serious.. This year I didn't watch it either..
