Article-Rift between female leads

Not everything is hunky-dory on the sets of 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya' - the two female leads of the show, Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Lovey Sasan, can't see eye-to-eye. "Devoleena got insecure after Lovey's character was recently introduced in the show. She thought that Lovey was getting more screen space than her. In fact, the duo even got into a fight! Lovey was good friends with Vishal Singh, who plays her on-screen husband, but he also stopped talking to her after Devoleena created some misunderstandings between the two of them," our source says.


However, another source says, "Lovey has an attitude problem. She doesn't get along well with many of the team members and keeps to herself on the sets."

We contacted Vishal, who refused to comment on the issue. Even Lovey said, "I don't want to talk about it." However, Devoleena told us that she is not friends with Lovey and they share a professional relationship. "I couldn't connect with her and that's a personal choice. I don't want to hide it and say that I am friends with her. My character, Gopi, is quite established so there is no question of insecurities," she said. We asked her whether there was a fight between them and she said, "There was a misunderstanding. Something had happened but we clarified it with each other." But what about Devoleena's involvement in creating a rift between Vishal and Lovey? She said, "Every individual is mature enough to take their own decisions. Maybe Vishal couldn't connect with her. There are many others who don't talk to her. It doesn't mean that the whole universe is insecure because of her. Many characters have come and gone. I don't think we'll be insecure just because a new character has been introduced. I am a professional aur agar mera dushman bhi saath khada hoga, I will act. She is just a character for me. And personally, I feel that she doesn't exist for me."
