If only I could show this to the CV's. Actually Kumkum Bhagya does not lack Romantic moments. It's just that some simple moments at the right time can cause a viewer's heart beat to stop. It is not necessary for them to be overly dramatic but the timing should be right. Below is the list of some of the most romantic or dramatic scenes I have ever come across. Also there is the brief story before the scene just to make you understand the importance of the scene. Summary taken directly from Wikipedia. Even so if I have failed I apologize in advance.

Hana Yori Dango;

Makino Tsukushi is a tough, hard-working, middle-class student at the prestigious escalator school Eitoku Gakuen. Initially, Makino wanted to attend Eitoku because her idol, an internationally renowned model named Todou Shizuka, was an alumna of the school. Not long after however, Makino discovers the superficial nature of her classmates. Their arrogance and her inability to relate to them because of her social status, limits her chances at making friends. Worse yet, the school is ruled by the F4 or Flower Four, composed of playboys Nishikado Soujiro and Mimasaka Akira, introverted Hanazawa Rui and violent and bratty Domyouji Tsukasa. The F4, sons of Japan's wealthiest and most powerful tycoons, bully fellow students out of boredom or malevolence until they are expelled or quit.

Makino's only wish was to remain invisible in Eitoku to avoid getting into trouble. However, she is immersed into the lives of the four legendary bullies after her first and only friend at school, Sanjo Sakurako, accidentally spills juice on Domyouji's white shirt in the cafeteria and she defends her. The next day, she receives a red tag in her locker (an order from the F4 to bully the target student in whatever means possible) and as a result, the whole school turns against her. Despite the harassment, Tsukushi, the "tough weed", refuses to give in and quit. After Domyouji crushes the prawn her parents painstakingly cooked for her with his shoe, she finally snaps, knocks him out and declares war back on him. This unexpected retaliation catches him by surprise and causes him, ironically, to fall in love with her. But Tsukushi is in love with Rui, who in turn harbors romantic feelings for his childhood friend Shizuka.

The courtship between Tsukasa and Tsukushi is the main theme throughout the series. Various challenges threaten their blossoming relationship including Tsukushi's wavering feelings for Rui, the envy of fellow Eitoku students, an obsessed childhood classmate, their differences in social class, Tsukasa's brash and possessive nature, and the animosity of Domyouji Kaede, Tsukasa's mother. The first season ends with Domyouji giving the saturn necklace to Makino and her confession of love right before he leaves for New York.

Tsukasa Domyoji is a spoiled, richest brat in Japan. In the high school what he says is the rule. A total jerk in the beginning but gradually you warm up to him because he like a spoiled child to the point that he always makes mistakes in saying phrases in English and when people don't understand him he haughtily boasts of his superiority for knowing more than them. So he falls for Tsukuchi Makino, a commoner. And to ask her for a date his sister advises him to go around the topic before coming to the point. This guy actually asks Makino to stand still and goes in a circle around her then tells her to come to the meeting place. That's the adorable dumbness I am talking about. Now he is a guy who has never waited for anything or anyone so he calls up his friend to ask how one waits for someone. His friend tells him you stand there till the person comes. Makino on the other hand debates on whether to go or not and at last comes there hours after the meeting time. She is surprised to find Tsukasa waiting there in the rain, shivering. The moment Tsukasa sees her he grabs her into a hug for he is happy that she came and also he is damn cold. This to me will always be the most romantic scene I have ever seen.

It Started With A Kiss;

Yuan Xiang Qin is a bumbling, intellectually challenged, nave, but optimistic high school girl. Ever since she met Jiang Zhi Shu at the freshman orientation, she's been in love with the genius with an IQ of 200. After two years of having a crush on him, she finally musters the courage to confess her love to him at school with a love letter. Zhi Shu is not impressed, and Xiang Qin is left humiliated publicly in front of their entire school.

That afternoon, the new house she has just moved into with her father collapsed in a minor earthquake. She and her father are instantly left homeless because they lacked the foresight to pay for earthquake insurance. Fortunately, her father's old college friend extends a helping hand and invites both of them to live at his house. Little does Xiang Qin know that the kind Uncle Li is actually the father of Jiang Zhi Shu.

Because of this unexpected turn of events, Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin begin living their lives under the same roof. Zhi Shu's mother aspires to bring them together, coaxing Zhi Shu into tutoring Xiang Qin and taking numerous pictures of the couple together. Zhi Shu remains cold towards Xiang Qin, thinking her to be one of the dumbest people he has ever met, and refuses to speak to her at school. Through the course of the series, Zhi Shu slowly warms up to Xiang Qin, who tries her hardest to do better in school for him, as they deal with romantic rivals, their futures, and their relationship.

Zhi Shu is perfect, a genius with iq 200, good looking and considerably rich. But he is too cocky and very cold. Xang Qin has had a crush on him since middle school from the moment she 1st set her eyes on him. Zhi Shu rejects her over and over again but still Xang Qin's world only revolves around him. (pretty much like our Pragya. But Xang Qin was desperate and she knew it. She also time and again wished that she was not like this.) So during their graduation party she finally bursts out and challenges Zhi Shu that in her college life she'll finally give up on him and find a better man. This scene takes place in a deserted hallway and marks the 1st time Zhi Shu actually having and acting on his feelings towards her. Her challenges her saying, "fine, forget me if you can" and kisses her and then walks away leaving her totally confused.

The Ugly truth (English movie):

The story is basically about a girl who is a control freak who meets a man who doesn't believe in relationships. But then they fall for each other. Problem? He just helped her land her neighbour.

I love the final proposal scene in the parachute. But I will refrain from describing it here just incase anyone who hasn't watched the movie is planning to.

Nice Guy (Korean Drama):

Smart and promising medical student Kang Ma-ru has been in love all his life with his slightly older neighbor Han Jae-hee a television reporter. He is an adoring boyfriend and she always considered Ma-ru her home. But when her situation takes a turn for the worse and Jae-hee becomes desperate to escape poverty, she meets a man who changes everything"a rich CEO who introduces her to a life of comfort. So she turns her back on Ma-ru, choosing money over love.

The brutal betrayal leaves Ma-ru fractured"not just angry, but a completely changed man. A few years later, Ma-ru is now 30 years old and works as a bartender and gigolo, no longer a "nice guy." He then meets Seo Eun-gi , a young heiress who's being groomed to take over her father's conglomerate. Eun-gi is cold and calculating, business-savvy, and raised by her father to never show emotion to anyone. But Ma-ru intrigues her, and she becomes curious until she can't stop thinking about him.

Ma-ru decides to take advantage of her as a pawn in his plans for revenge, and Eun-gi falls in love with him, not knowing that he's using her to get back at his ex Jae-hee, who happens to be Eun-gi's young, gold-digging stepmother. Just when Ma-ru is beginning to genuinely care for Eun-gi, she finds out the truth and they break up. But a car accident causes Eun-gi to lose her memory, and she enters Ma-ru's life again.

The scene is when the accident happens where she loses her memory. Actually she finds out the truth and then they break up. She has still not returned home when she gets a call informing her of her father's death. Hurt that she was not there when her father died and feeling betrayed that the man she left her father for broke up with her she starts driving. On her way in the tunnel she sees Kang Ma ru's car in the opposite lane and drives right into his car injuring both of them fatally. She also loses her memory and only remembers that she was in love with Kang Ma ru.

Later after everything is resolved she asks him why he did not avoid her car to which he replies that he doesn't remember but as he is dying we hear in his mind; "Eun-ki asked me, at that time in the tunnel, why didn't I avoid the car? Even though I told Eun-ki that I don't remember, I remember the reason very clearly.

At the time, I was exhausted by the world and by my lot in life. And this present life of mine, even if it ended this way, I thought it wouldn't make a difference. And that in the next life, I would definitely meet Eun-ki, and we'd experience that ordinary kind of love that everyone does, the simple kind of love that everyone in the world, no matter who they are and what they do, gets to experience. That ordinary kind of love.

I want to start all over again. This is what I think I prayed to God."

This scene made me cry buckets of tears. Even now I think something is in my eye.

Remember When (book by Judith Macnaught):

This book is one of my favourites since this one actually is about a really strong woman who raised an empire all on her own. And contrary to popular belief that misunderstandings are required for a great love story this one does not have a single one between the lead pair. This is a love story every 21st century girl should read in my opinion.

After losing her fiance to a blond Italian heiress, Diana Foster felt obligated to make an appearance at the charity ball, if only to bolster her company's image. Beautiful Living magazine was her family's success story, and Diana knew that, single, childless, and now unengaged, she wasn't living up to its upscale standard, Now Cole Harrison, stableboy-turned-billionaire, was closing in on her: Cole couldn't get out of a contract with his uncle except by bringing home a wife, and Diana was perfect by his standards. Even after a lot of champagne and a long, slow, bargain-stealing kiss, neither dared imagine that this match made in logic's heaven might become a once-in-a-lifetime love...

This scene is from the charity ball. In the scene below Diana has just met Cole her childhood crush who was also her friend's stableboy then at the auction hall. Diana is to model a neckless for auction and it is a custom for the model's husband or fiance to buy it for her. Since Diana has just been jilted by her fiance this is a nightmare for her. But instead of running away she plans to face it what may come. So as the bidding starts no one puts up a bid and when one does come it's with an intention to insult her. People also start bad mouthing her and taking digs at her in whispers. All this while cole just keeps looking at her as she models the necklace with a straight face.

Cole watched Diana turn and move obediently toward their table. He already knew that

Diana had originally believed her faithless fianc would be buying the necklace for her

tonight. Now it suddenly occurred to him that she'd undoubtedly bought the purple gown

she was wearing because it set the amethysts off to perfection.

He watched Diana's smile wobble as she paused across from him and subjected herself to

Mitchell's leering at her breasts; he saw her fingers lift to the largest stone at the bottom

of the necklace to show it to him"the long, slender, womanly fingers that had once been

a girl's hand holding out offerings to him.

Mitchell reached for it, deliberately brushing his knuckles over the soft skin above her

bodice. In a swift but subtle countermove, she stepped back, reached behind her nape,

unclasped the necklace, and held it out to him in her hand.

Her fixed smile never wavered, but as Mitchell reached for the necklace, her gaze

recoiled from his hand, bounced to Cole's face, then quickly darted away. In that one

brief, unguarded moment while her gaze encountered his, Cole saw something that drove

him to an instant and monumental decision.

Maybe he had a latent and heretofore unrecognized urge to play the knight in shining

armor for some damsel in distress, or maybe his next action was merely the civilized

version of a prehistoric male swinging his club at an adversary to prove his superiority.

Maybe he was subconsciously aware that fate was offering him an opportunity to solve

not only Diana's problems but his own. Perhaps it was a combination of all three.

But whatever his motives, the outcome was a foregone conclusion, even before Mitchell

looked over at the auctioneer and announced, "I'll make it fifteen thousand dollars."

"Twenty-five," Cole snapped before the other man had drawn a breath.

The auctioneer looked stunned but ecstatic. "Ah-ha! We have a new and serious bidder in

the competition," he informed the audience with a triumphant smile. "Mr. Harrison has

just jumped the bid by ten thousand dollars," he continued, attracting the attention of

people who hadn't been particularly interested in the necklace until then, "and he hasn't

yet had a close-up view of this unique piece! Miss Foster," he said to Diana, "will you

please allow Mr. Harrison a moment to inspect the extraordinary quality and color of the

stones, as well as the superior craftsmanship of the necklace itself."

With a smile that clearly showed relief, Diana hastily obeyed the suggestion to move

around the table to Cole. When she reached his chair, she held the glittering necklace out

to him in her hand, but Cole ignored it completely and looked at her face instead. With a

warm, teasing smile, he said, "Do you like it?"

Diana saw the amusement glinting in his silvery eyes, and she sensed instinctively that he

was deliberately prolonging the moment and playing to their audience, but she was

desperately anxious to get out of the spotlight, rather than share in the increased glare that

came as another hundred pairs of eyes swiveled toward Cole Harrison. Diana didn't care

who bought it; she only wanted the ordeal to end. "It's beautiful," she proclaimed with an

emphatic nod.

Cole leaned back in his chair, shoved his hands into his pants pockets, and his smile

turned lazy, as if he had all the time in the world to ponder his purchase and was actually

enjoying the audience's attention. "Yes, but do you like it?"

"Yes, honestly! It's splendid." In the sudden hush of curiosity stealing over the ballroom,

Diana's breathlessly emphatic declaration rang loudly enough to cause a ripple of goodnatured

laughter.

"Then, you think I should buy it?"

"Of course, if you have someone to give it to."

The auctioneer sensed instinctively that the audience's interest had peaked and would

soon begin to ebb. "Mr. Harrison," he asked, "are you satisfied with your inspection, sir?"

Cole's smile turned openly admiring as he studied Diana's face. "Extremely satisfied," he

said, plainly referring to Diana and not the necklace.

"Then the bidding will continue," he told the audience. "Mr. Harrison has offered twentyfive

thousand dollars. Do I have thirty thousand dollars?" He looked expectantly to Peter

Mitchell, who nodded.

He looked around the room to see if anyone else signaled, and when they didn't, he

looked to Cole. "Mr. Harrison?"

If Diana hadn't been so unhappy and so tense, she'd have laughed at Cole's infectious grin

as he casually held up four fingers, jumping the bid to $40,000 as nonchalantly as if it

were forty cents.

"Forty thousand dollars!" The auctioneer crowed. "Mr. Harrison had bid forty thousand

dollars, and all of it is destined for charity. Mr. Mitchell?" he urged. "Will you make it

forty-five?"

Haley Mitchell nodded yes to her husband, but Peter Mitchell hesitated, glowering at

Cole. In response, Cole relaxed further back in his chair and quirked a challenging brow

at him. "No," Mitchell bit out.

"Fair warning," the auctioneer called. "Sold!" he proclaimed. "For forty thousand dollars

to Mr. Cole Harrison!" Turning toward Cole, he added, "I know I speak for all the

patrons of the White Orchid Ball when I say that we are deeply grateful for your

extraordinary generosity to our very worthy cause tonight, Mr. Harrison. And may I also

say," he joked, "that I sincerely hope the lucky lady who receives that necklace not only

appreciates your generosity but also your excellent taste!"

"I hope she does, too!" Cole replied, evoking a burst of laughter as he grinned with a

relaxed affability that was in complete opposition to the chilly indifference he'd displayed

all night. Then he added, "Let's see what she thinks""

The audience warmed instantly to this fascinatingly intimate glimpse of the enigmatic

tycoon whom one columnist had described as having a circuit board for a brain and a

computer for a heart. They watched, captivated, as he slid his chair back and slowly stood

up.

Diana was so upset at being kept in the limelight that she tried to step backward as soon

as he lifted the ends of the necklace from her outstretched palm. Cole prevented her

escape by stepping forward, draping the necklace around her throat, and reaching behind

her neck to close the heavy clasp.

Diana stared at him in wide-eyed confusion.

He looked back at her in expectant silence.

The audience erupted with laughter and applause, and in the back of the room, cameras lit

up like a swarm of startled lightning bugs.

Amazing right? I know I loved it.

So for now that's all.

With this I mark the end of all my analytic post on the flaws of Kumkum Bhagya.

I won't be coming on IF from now on till my exams are over most probably.

But I would like to read your most romantic moments in the comments below so please tell me some of scenes you found romantic. They could be from any serial novel movie or even real life. Please do share and spread love.

Hope you liked reading my post.

Bye.
