I am very similar to Manik in terms of attitude: Parth Samthaan

The young and good looking actor Parth Samthaan has been gaining popularity with his character of Manik in MTV's popular show Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan. The actor is very much focused towards his work and also interested towards dancing.

Parth opens up more about playing Manik and his life in this conversation with TellyBuzz...

How has your journey been so far?

The journey has been good and I have learn't a lot. I have experienced good and bad things and grown from it. It has been a wonderful journey; not just only for me but for all of us.

What made you to choose acting as your profession?

I am pursuing my architecture and I am not able to figure out time for that. I wasn't focused towards anything and was uncertain with what I wanted actually. When I started doing some short movies then it just clicked me that I can try out in this field. I have always been interested in doing such things like performing and playing lots of characters and later I was approached by some people for this character. This is how it all began.

You have now become a popular face of youth oriented show. How do you feel?

I feel very happy to get calls for my performance and it's wonderful. I really like that the people are appreciating my role and giving me such a good response.

How did Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan happen to you?

I was doing MTV India's show Fannah but the creative thought that I fit into this bill and later they also made me meet with my co-actors of this show and they thought that I match pretty well with them and they just replaced me with this show and this is how Kaisi Yeh Yaariyanhappened to me.

You share an amazing on-screen chemistry with Niti (Niti Taylor). How do you guys bond off-screen?

We are very professional off-screen. We just stick to our work and do not interfere into each other's personal life. We have different understanding and whatever is between us is just related to work only. We just make sure that we should concentrate on our work and our scenes should come out well and help each other with that.

How has Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan changed your life?

It has changed my life as an actor and I have got compliments from people whom I had never expected. It makes me feel like I have achieved something. We just need to put in our hard work and no matter what, it will fetch you success. Just not caring about what will be the outcome, I just focused towards learning giving my 100% towards my work and it feels good to know that the show is doing well in numbers and people are liking my character.

Can you relate yourself to Manik?

I am very similar to Manik in terms of attitude and else I am not at all similar to him in any ways. I am very different from what Manik is. It's an interesting character to play. Sometimes when I have to be extra romantic then I feel that why should I do it then I was made to understand that it's just a character and not me so I have to relate to it.

Would you like to do a Saas Bahu saga over a youth based show?

No, I will not do it. I was offered though and received offers for the same too but I chose Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan over it. I don't want to get into family drama; it's not my cup of tea. I would like to do something very interesting and will be of my age/era. I am not into marriage zone right now so I don't want to get into it.

What about reality show...

Reality show differs from each other. Let's see if something interesting and different comes up my way.

Are you satisfied now?

I feel good and happy as an actor but it's just a beginning for me. I have high goals which I have to achieve.

What are your interests other than acting?

I love dancing but right now I hardly get time for it. I have also performed Salsa. I am also a sportsperson and I play law tennis, cricket, etc.

So, would you like to get into dance reality show like Jhalak?

I can give it a thought but it's a long process. I think I am too young for it right now.

What are your long term goals?

I won't be getting into fictional show. I would like to get into films after this show.

I would like to thank all of you for supporting and loving the show. It's because of you all that we get motivated to perform better which helps us to get good numbers. Keep watching the show and thanks for liking my character. Always remember that the show is all about friendship and love and it's not only about Manik and Nandini (MaNan).
