I'm reserving judgement to see if she'll have a change of heart. I don't think Sanam had an easy childhood. But she had a loving childhood. She also had a role model. Seher and Aahil are very similar. Both had horrible childhoods. If Aahil was able to redeem himself, shouldn't Seher be allowed to?

Let me answer your question. What exactly did Aahil do? I mean yes he slept around with women but please don't forget that in those cases the other party was equally responsible. None of them slept with him because they loved him. It was shown clearly that he talked to his part time girlfriends regarding his DEAL of no attachments before he even went near them.He never actually forced any of them or cheated them .
Coming to his relationship with Sanam yes he did burn her dhaba and that was a nasty thing to do . In turn Sanam burned his car. He acted like a devil without thinking about the consequences. He did offer Sanam money though. Yes sanam did right by not accepting his money too. But the fact is he did offer money although that doesn't justify him ruining her livelihood .
After Sanam came he tried to break her mainly because he never ever saw such a strong person before. His upbringing was bad . He redeemed him enough though. But he never tried to seperate a married couple and aided to a kidnapping like Seher. We should not forget here that he helped Sanam and gave her money to save her grandmother. All this he did while he was not too pleased with Sanam and her strength. Saving her grandmother was enough redemption IMO.,
Seher on the other hand had a harsh childhood. Agreed that she never learned the meaning of a family ever. She had a harsh life. I liked her infact in the begining. Her being in the street , looting people was justified given the kind of life she had. But what she is doing now is no way justified. She was shown to be a conwoman with a golden heart initially. Now what? She is not only conning Aahil or taking revenge on Billi on Raziyas behalf she is ruining another woman's life for her greed. This is not expected from a girl who once returned a stolen wallet so that those kids get their share of happiness. She aided to a kidnapping of a woman. Did she ever try to enquire what happened to that other woman whom she replaced? She could have been killed , raped and what not . She is stealing the love of a happy couple , getting close to another woman's husband and evn seducing him when necessary to get her way. Are we supposed to be sympathetic to her evn after that and let it all go just because she had a bad childhood?
I don't think so. In the land of law she is a criminal . Period . There's no denying that. Her childhoods misery can't justify her actions now.
I loved her and enjoyed her scenes but at this moment she has stooped so low that I think she doesn't deserve Rehan or any other happiness coming her way. Yet. She needs to suffer for her cruelty towards another woman before getting a chance to redeem. Yes she is redeemable . But she has to do something really big for that or suffer the consequences. I don't want her to get away just because Sanam wouldn't want her to suffer because I feel there is no good or bad crime or criminal .
Just my POV. No offense to anyone

I can understand and agree with those who say what Seher is doing is clearly wrong and there's no justification. HOWEVER, while there isn't a justification for it, there is an explanation and another side for it.

Sanam has values because of the environment in which she grew up. She had a person like Dilshad teach her right from wrong. Even though she was poor, she had a stable, loving environment. That environment shaped and influenced the person she is today. She is the person she is BECAUSE of that family life and environment that Dilshad gave her from childhood.
Seher, on the other hand, was left alone when she was about 2. She had no one to care for her, teach her values, provide for her or give a flying fig about her, let alone love her. The absence of stability, love, and a proper upbringing have left a stain on her perception of the world. She is used to fending for herself. She even had a flashback where SHE WAS EATING FROM A TRASH CAN as a child. And still, there have been glimpses of her conscience. What we're seeing in her is NOT GREED, BUT NEED. A need to provide for herself because when you have no one else, the need to survive, the need to think of only yourself gives you no other options. Seher is the person she is, a flawed character, who despite her desire for money, has a conscience. She is this person DESPITE the circumstances under which she grew up.

Sanam is the person she is BECAUSE of her childhood environment and Seher is the person she is DESPITE her childhood environment. These differences are important when comparing Sanam and Seher. It's important to understand WHY Seher is behaving the way she is. Because only then will Seher be differentiated from Razia and Tanveer. And there is A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Tanveer killed Asya and the Nawab because she was greedy. She left her own son in an orphanage because she wanted money and status. Razia allowed her own child to be poisoned just so she could drive her husband's other child away from him.

Seher is still good in my book because she has literally no idea who her parents are, what her past is. She only knows that she grew up in a cruel world where had to fend for herself.

Side note (I forgot to add this): This does not mean that I don't think Seher needs to be punished in some way for what she's done. She's caused a lot of pain. Having a difficult childhood does not excuse her from what she's done. Our choices have consequences. Seher shouldn't be excused from dealing with the consequences of her selfish decisions that harmed someone else's life.

Sorry..I do not agree with this statement. We can not justify her actions in the name of NEED. May be her previous job/intial days where she struggled to survive was for need. But her current job where she replaced Sanam is clearly not for need, it was for her greed. If it is a NEED, you don't need 2 crores. She WANTS to live a lavish life by taking a short cut.

I agree that Sehar had a bad past and she struggled a lot. Have we seen her struggling her for basic need when she has grown up? So far, we have seen her as greedy. We can judge her from some of these scenes...

1. When she came to IM mansion first...looking at SaHil's room she said " This is what I want in my Life"

2. After stealing a necklace from Sanam's house, next day she was looking out for next bakara to steal. She was not satisfied with the money she got from necklace and she wanted to loot old people the next day.

3. She got one crore deal from Razia...She hiked her price whenever Razia asked her do some more work. She did not even think about ruining someone's life.

Need is a basic requirement...You need a house and enough money to survive. Sehar is healthy, strong and can speak good english. She can lead a good life by working hard instead of ruining someone's life.

About Sanam...she also struggled a lot in her life. We can not credit that to just Dilshad raising her. She never had a smooth life. When Anwer cheated her and took her property/everything, she did not try to cheat some one. What about Haya? She also had a tough life. It is so difficult to live in this world when you are disabled. She never had a bitterness towards Sanam who was fit and fine.

There are many in this world who turn bad even after being raised by good parents. Definitely circumstances and environment plays a big role. Sanam fought these obstacles and looked for her need instead of WANT.

P.S: Did you see Sehar's expression when Aahil gifted Haya a brand new car? I did not see any difference in Khala, Kulu and Sehar's expression. It was more of greedy expression.

In a general perceptive I would say regardless of upbringing a criminal is criminal and the crimes can't be brushed aside owing to the bad upbringing or environment though one can sympathize and understand the origin of criminal. But in this QH forum's perceptive if the role of Seher was played by a male and had given a beautiful love track, the most of the people here bashing Seher/Suneri would have written lengthy posts to understand or justify the character!
And also Seher being 'criminal', deserving punishment, being a vamp, being a witch etc etc wouldn't be discussed so much if she hadn't come between SaHil! Nobody would talk about the jail terms, sections, type of sentences etc hadn't she been switched with Sanam.
For me I adore Sanam's characterization, she is one of the best female leads of Indian tv, sad that the character was developed after the leap of show, so couldn't be very popular that it deserves to be.
And about Seher, if you have watched Deewar movie of Amitab and Shashi kapoor, the mother always has more soft corner for Vijay( Amithab's character) than the righteous Ravi(Shashi Kapoor's character) and that's what exactly are my feelings for Seher. I can't hate her, curse her or hurl abuses at her though I don't justify most of her acts. Sanam is the stronger one but Seher is the vulnerable one.

But it is really unfair to say Sanam had an easy childhood... She also lived in poverty and at a very young age had to start taking care of a deaf dumb cousin and old grandmom. We must not reduce the shine of one character to bring forth the shine of another.

While I do not agree about Seher with you, I will not debate coz I can see its your perspective.

If you go back to old episodes, you will always find Sanam take on the challenge of the tougher path head - on. But I am not sure if you will agree. Haya also grew up in similar circumstances, but she has not shown that much grit and strength.. again it could be my view.

I do not compare her to tanveer. everyone is different.

I don't want to have a debate over Sanam vs Seher but would say that you are comparing their childhoods based on financial terms, but what is biggest difference between both of their childhood is the emotional one. Sanam had a tough childhood, had to shoulder responsibilities at a very young age but she had the emotionally rich childhood. Whereas Seher had both financial and emotional poor childhood, she grew up seeing selfishness, atrocities, betrayals and mistrust in the surrounding.
However these things doesn't make her a less of outlaw in the eyes of law.

Where as grey MALES have a lot of takers! This is an observation I have made over a LONG period of time, not just from this show or forum!

Now full on vamps have takers! Like Mumani. She is evil and we love her evil. Tanveer is evil but we don't love her! That is coz she messed with ASYA. Our golden couple! Either ways, I think Seher is a very complex character and it is not going to be easy to just decode her!

I don't like that she is doing AT ALL! I will be honest about that. At the moment I don't like HER at all either! But in all honesty I didn't expect her to just Hug Sanam back and be ready to be her "sister!" That was not realistic, knowing how she had grown up. She does not value relationships to the same level that SANAM does! So thinking of herself and her money is ALL we can expect from her and I was not actually expecting anything else!

I don't think she will be ready to have Aahil's kids for money! But she is willing to marry Aahil so that she can get 2 Crore from Mumani! THAT itself makes her a morally ambiguous character! But I don't have ANY illusions about her, so I am not disappointed! This is what I akways KNEW would happen! Maybe I have a more mature view of things than people who expected her to "do the right thing!" Just because!

Very well written! I always expected her to be like this and since the 1 year extension of the show I expect much more negative portrayal of Seher.
And about hugging Sanam back, if Seher did it then it's out of her character because she has grown up witnessing the harsher side of humans, how can she randomly trust whatever Sanam says and give up her 2 crore worth job? On the other hand Sanam is more ignorant when it comes to ugliness of human race, so she thinks if she says a stranger who is her look alike that she her twin, the look alike will believe without a second thought.
Now QH is going to be interesting again.

The returning of the wallet never "touched me" to be honest.
1) Okay, maybe the guy she conned in her entry was not a "good guy" as people were hoping. But there was never any such thing that confirmed it.

2) She had no problem stealing stealthily from the Ibrahims and leaving whoever to get the blame.

3) Comes the biggest thing. Most people still didn't want to expect a grey Seher. Were hoping her to be undercover cop, or just conning bad or rich people But she was planning on conning an childless couple who give their money to charity.

4) She had no qualms at first in taking that wallet. if she had standards, she wouldn't have taken it in the first place. Then Bagwan Das got into her head. :)

5) Wanted to con Rehan even after seeing him at the orphanage and giving to them.

6) While I pointed out her cheating the dhabbawala, I was actually glad for it. Because it broke the notion that she only cheated "the rich and the bad." 😆
