~Prologue~
The doorbell rang.
"I'll get it", Ghafoor Siddiqui got up from his chair to check on the door.
"Mr. Siddiqui?". A tall, middle aged man spoke as the door opened.
"Yes?", Replied the confused old man.
"I am Rashid Ahmed Khan and this is my wife Dilshad", He said.
"I am sorry I didn't recognize you"
"Actually we wanted to talk to you about something only if you...", he said hinting him to allow them in.
He eyed them from top bottom and then back up, still confused.
"Yeah sure", he set himself aside and let them in.

"So Mr. Khan what is it that you wanted to say?", Ghafoor asked once they settled in the lounge.
"Actually Siddiqui sahib we wanted to talk to you about...", Rashid trailed off.
"We...we wanted to talk to you about your...your daughter", Dilshad covered up for her husband.
"My daughter... what about her?", A tinge of fear rose inside him.
"Janab we want to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage for our son", Rashid completed reluctantly.
"Excuse me?", Siddiqui said with anger and amusement simultaneously visible in his voice.
"Dekhiye bhai sahib this is not something to be furious of, every daughter's father has to hear these words at least once in his life", Dilshad said trying to calm the old man.
"But how do you... I mean how do you know zoya?", He asked still shaken.
"Actually Asad...Our son... and zoya work in the same hospital, they are from the same batch...", she didn't know how to put this in words.
"Oh! But zoya never mentioned him to me"
"G we understand, but... I mean-", how do they do it' Dilshad thought trying to find proper words.
"I understand Mrs. Khan but I cannot say anything about this to you, I need to talk to my family about this first...I hope you understand!", Ghafoor replied for he knew better than to deny the proposal, he might have only if the things would have been different and not the way they are!
