Part 7

" Aastha what was all that..." Avdhoot asked in angry tone. He was stunned to see her with Shlok.

"Papa... that was not real... please believe me..." She told between her sobs.

"How many times I have to see all that... I gave you all the things you need... you wished for your studies... I permitted you for complete your education but what you did there..." he said in furious tone. She looked towards him with pain.

"Papa... I don't know anything about that..." she tried to defend herself once again.

"really... he come here and give you a gift and then in next evening he give his proposal for you... and you are saying that you don't know anything..." he roared on her.

She helplessly saw him. She ran into her room and cried bitterly. She had so much complain from her destiny.

Flashback

He was her affectionate father until this morning but everything changed in just one day. He changed in her father in law. A strict and cold man who saw her as the symbol of their deceased son.

She was Aastha Malik, the young widow who never lived like a bride. She was just 8 years old when her parents fixed her marriage with 12 years old Sumit malik. She was the victim of child marriage. Avdhoot malik who thought himself the broad minded man was the father of boy. He was the civil servant but didn't think about the rules once. He thought that she was the daughter of his best friend so nothing was wrong in that. That was the old tradition in their rural areas. They didn't take child marriage as a crime.

It was decided that she will live in her home until 18 years. But fate decided something else for their crime. They wanted to perform a prayer in temple in Himachal so both the family left for the hill station but god gave them the return of what they did with children

Young and innocent Sumit died on the spot in the terrible accident... other people got injured badly. Aastha and Neelabh parents passed away in the way of hospital. They lost all their happiness in seconds.

Aastha who even didn't know the meaning of marriage became widow in just age of 8^th. They didn't have any close relatives so Avdhoot who lost his son and his best friend took the responsibility of both the children.

Kalindi and Avdhoot loved them as their own children. They forgot their pain and heeled their wound with them. Both the children were growing up under their affection.

They didn't stop her from anything. She studied in well schools always as like Neelabh. They didn't tell both the children of the truth about Aastha. She didn't know that she was young widow.

Avdhoot never thought about the situation what will happen if she will come to know about that. But the time had to come so it came.

She was 21 years old beautiful young girl, who was bright student and quite popular due to her education.

A boy who liked her very much sent his proposal to her family and this thing raised the anger of Avdhoot who thought her as the symbol of his deceased son. He told her the reality of her.

She became shocked to know the truth behind her life and slowly accept the fact. Avdhoot said her that she could not remarry as it was against the custom and he also didn't allow him because she was belonging to his family after his son death.

Neelabh who was furious with Avdhoot left the home and came to Pune. In between Kalindi passed away and Avdhoot got transferred in Ahmadnager. Neelabh wanted to get her sister free from this useless custom... but Aastha loved her family more than her freedom and life so she promised to Avdhoot that she will not think about any man in her life and she will live forever in their home as a widow of their son. But Shlok proposal made them restless again.

"Shlok... Avdhoot ji rejected your proposal..." Niranjan Agnihotri informed him. he saw the phone for some moment in disbelief, Niranjan voice was coming out from the other side...

"Shlok are you listening what I am saying... Don't create any mess..." he was saying while Shlok clinched his fist in fury

"How can he say No..." he threw the phone in anger which broke in pieces. He walked out from his mansion in fit of rage.

His landline number started to ring as he broke his phone in anger. The servant picked the phone in fear

"where is Shlok... give him the phone..."Niranjan said in urgent tone

"Sir he went out in very bad mood..." the servant informed him and he became depressed

Shlok went to Avdhoot malik home. He was very angry but as he reached there he turned himself in his calm and cool persona. His eyes demonstrated his spark. He pushed the doorbell. Aastha opened the gate and he entered inside without saying a word to her.

She became scared to see him in her home like this. He looked her with his deep intense eyes and asked

"I have to meet Avdhoot ji" he asked formally and came on Avdhoot name from uncle. She nodded her head and signaled him to come inside.

Avdhoot saw him and became furious like he came to snatch his precious thing from him. He looked him and said

"I gave my answer to your father... didn't he inform you..." Shlok felt his cold behavior and saw the creases on his forehead. He sat on the couch as he didn't give a damn to his answer.

"Avdhoot ji you said no... fine but you didn't give any valid and solid reason of your rejection..." he spread his hands on the back of big couch like a king.

"Because it is impossible... she doesn't like you..." Avdhoot replied in curt tone.

"Did you forget that I favored you in your transfer...?" Shlok looked at Avdhoot in warned tone.

Flashback

Avdhoot knew that he was very influent person and he wanted to transfer far from Delhi because the boy who wanted to marry Aastha continuously annoyed him and he could not do anything because the boy belonged to wealthy family. Avdhoot relatives also pressurized him to think about the proposal as they also wanted to see her remarried. But Avdhoot became selfish due to his blind love for his son. He was hopelessly believed that Aastha as aim of his life. He didn't want to let her go from his home.

He decided to leave everyone behind and got out from there so he spoke to Shlok Agnihotri the rising leader about his transfer. Shlok became agree but on a condition that if he need him for anything in future so he had to help to Shlok. He agreed and didn't think about much.

Shlok had his own motives as he wanted to destroy Ranjan Agnihotri who was responsible of his mother death. Avdhoot agreed to exposed Ranjan Agnihotri and Shlok helped him in his transfer but Avdhoot had no idea that he came into the cave of hunter.

Shlok who always kept all the information about his friends and enemies, didn't trust on Avdhoot blindly although he was his father's friend but he told his man to collect the information about him and his background.

Thus he knew about Aastha and saw her pictures. He didn't know anything about her life as his man told him that she was only daughter of Avdhoot malik. Avdhoot malik who thought that he came out from the big mess found himself caught in his own spring. He could not fight with Shlok.

Flashback end

"I remember everything but I promised that I will help you to expose and destroy Ranjan township project... I didn't promise that I will give you the hand of my daughter..." he gathered his courage and told him.

"you have to fulfill your promise about Ranjan as you cannot take your feet back now... and in matter of your daughter case... so you don't worry I will not force you but just give me the one reason of your rejection..." he replied in very calm tone because he could not spoiled his game due to the girl.

"She doesn't like you and also we don't give our daughters in other community..." Avdhoot tried to made a reason so that he could never think about this.

"ok I understand but I am here because I want to tell you that all the mess I created personally should not affect to our deal so I want that you will reveal the deeds of RanJan and take action against him now... I really don't care about anything else... I forget and you should also forget what happened" he said and left the room calmly

Avdhoot who was afraid earlier but now he was confused on his reaction. He didn't create chaos but left silently.

Avdhoot thought that this time he had upper hand on him due to Ranjan case. He smiled on his win.

Shlok came out from Avdhoot home with the sly grin on his face. He knew that if he did anything right now than he had to lose his game so he gave the upper hand to Avdhoot intentionally. He crossed the corridor when he saw her with pale face.

She pinned to the wall as if she was very scared about something. He could not control himself so he went near to her. Avdhoot was in his room.

Shlok looked in her eyes, and he felt if she tried to hide something. She sniffed as he came to close her.

"Don't worry I will not eat you..." he whispered in her ear. She tried to go when he blocked her way with his hands. She was stuck between the wall and his hands. She was numbed at the moment

"I am feeling that you don't really dislike me..." he said in his husky voice while she looked him with wide eyes.

"Don't be afraid... I will not do anything against your wish because now I really love you..." he said in emotional tone and she was staring him if she was fool or something. She could not think that what he is saying. How could he love her? It was forbidden for her. She looked him with urge, as she wanted to tell him the real reason but Avdhoot's fear stopped her.

"Do you want to tell me something..." he again asked when he felt her restlessness.

He saw so many question and confusion in her eyes. Although He could not understand the meaning of all that but he felt if she was in so much pain.

He left her and moved out towards the gate and decided to meet her alone soon so that he could know all the things.
