Rey and kria were in a secret relationship. It had been three weeks since they had confessed. Rey wanted to take kria out on a date but something or the other would always turn up n he could not ask her. Finally, he got an opportunity, their exams had gotten over 2 days ago n he decided this is the best time to ask her out. So he sent a letter at kria's place to surprise her.
Kria was sitting in her room getting bored as she had nothing to do when her phone rang, seeing the caller id, a beautiful smile crept on her face. She quickly answered, "hello"
"Hey beautiful, missing me?"
"Ha rey, l'm getting very bored"
"Accha, so you're getting bored that's why you're missing me?"
Kria realized what she said n bit her tongue, "nahi rey aisa nahi hai, I didn't mean that..." she stammered. Rey chuckled at her n replied, "ok chill, I was just joking, forget all this, I have sent something for u, go check it out"
"no rey I didn't receive anything, what are u talking about?"
Rey was going to say something when kria's door bell rang. She understood what rey meant. She quickly replied, "rey someone's at the door, I'll go see whose there so l'll talk to u later" n disconnected the call. She ran out to open the door when she saw her mom already holding the letter.
"Oh no, mom!" she muttered n ran to her mom to take the letter from her, before her mom opens it. "Maa this is for me" saying this kria snatched the letter from her mom's hand. "But, let me see what is it?" smriti said observing her daughter's unusual behavior. "Arre maa its nothing important, this is actually umm... it is..." kria struggled to find the proper words. "Yes go on, l'm listening" her mom insisted. "Ahh... yea now l remember this letter is sent by the college. lt is in regard of some cultural activities that the college conducts every year. Since, l'm the assistant GS of the college so they've sent me this. Swayam has also received it n he had even informed me about this but l had forgotten." kria lied hoping her mom would buy it.
"Ok, so l'll check this mom, l'll go now" kria said trying to escape. "Wait" she heard her mom say. 'Oh no, phas gayi, don't know what'll mom ask me now, universeji please save me' kria thought. "Yes mom" kria turned. "I have kept the lunch at the table n l need to go to office urgently for some work so l'm leaving now, alright." Kria heaved a sigh of relief n said, "ok mom, l'll have my food, u should leave for office now else u'll be late."
Kria bid adieu to her mom n quickly shut the door. She was very excited to see what's in the letter. She ran to her room n opened the envelope. It was a beautiful red color card in the shape of a heart.
'The little moments l spend with u makes my life beautiful day by day,
I wanna thank God for bringing such a wonderful person my way.'
Kria smiled reading the beautiful message. Just then her phone rang, "hello"
"Baatcutter, did u receive my card?"
"Ha n it is very beautiful"
"Yes it is, but little less than u"
"Reyyy..." kria blushed
"Someone's blushing" kria looked up startled to find rey in her room n walking towards her. "Rey, what are u doing here?" kria panicked. "Mom dekhlegi pls jao yahan se" she said trying to push him out. "Kitna bolti ho tum baatcutter" rey said keeping his finger on her lips. "No one will see us" rey whispered in her ear sending chills down her body with his touch n their proximity. "Your mom has gone out" rey moved back smiling at her. That's when kria remembered, "oh yes, l totally forgot, but how do u know mom's not at home?"
"l saw her leaving" rey smirked at her. "Par aap yahan kyun aaye?" kria asked. "For that u need to close your eyes" rey told her. "Rey tell me na what is it?" kria made a face but closed her eyes. He held her hand n kept a box covered in a shiny paper with a bow in her hand. "What's inside this?" she asked him. "See for yourself" he said. Kria could not contain her excitement anymore so she tore open the wrapper of the box to find a beautiful pink dress inside it. She turned to look at rey who was on his knees, "kria, would u go out on a date with me?" Rey held out his hand for her. Kria was really happy, ever since they had confessed, she had thought how would it be to go out on a date with him n finally her dream was coming true. She slipped her petite hand in his n replied, "l would love to."
Rey was overjoyed on hearing her answer n he hugged her tightly, "l want u to wear this dress on our date today." Rey whispered in her ear n kissed it to which kria just nodded shyly. Kria broke the hug when the door bell rang n asked rey to go as her mom was home n they would be caught. But rey was in no mood to leave her.
"Rey pls go else, I won't be able to come in the evening" kria said n started pushing him. They reached to her window when rey turned n said, "kria i forgot to tell u, there's something on your cheek."
"Cheek pe?" she asked to which he nodded n pointed it out to her. She kept her finger on her cheek where he had indicated n asked, 'yahan?" Rey did not say anything n she asked him again, 'ha?"
"Ok" he said n kissed her cheek where she had kept her finger. Kria was surprised by rey's sudden move. "Yeh kya?" was all she could utter. Rey gave a crooked grin to her n said, "what? u had only asked me here, so l kissed u." He winked at her leaving her astonished. Kria looked at him with confusion n then understood rey's trick. "Rey u" she screamed n was going to hit him when he said, "bye baatcutter, will meet u in the evening n I love u" n jumped out of her window making her smile at his antics.
Bell rang once again reminding kria about her mom who was standing at the door. She quickly hid the dress n the card in her cupboard n proceeded to open the door.
