Sri Lanka scored at a good rate but the session belongs to England. Just when Mahela and Sanga were looking to lay a solid platform, Plunkett found the outside edge of the former before accounting for Thirimanne the next ball. Mathews and Sanga counter-attacked with a quick-fire 50-run stand but Anderson came back and got the former. Chandimal then joined Sanga and the duo batted sensibly to push the score further. An interesting final session is on the cards

62.6Broad to Sangakkara, out Caught by Bell!! This is a huge wicket for England and what a catch by Bell in his 100th Test. Full delivery outside off stump, Sangakkara drives hard and gets a thick edge, the ball was travelling very fast, Bell at gully, did well to dive to his left and grab the ball. Sangakkara c Bell b Broad 79(147) [4s-13]

63.4Plunkett to Dhammika, out Caught by Prior!! That's a nasty bouncer and Plunkett has his fourth wicket. The ball rises steeply as Plunkett put in a lot of effort behind this one, Prasad tries to fend it but it went off the glove. Dhammika c Prior b Plunkett 0(2)
