But I detest Saathiya now.
The way they are talking about "Hasmukh" and the way they are portraying him is nothing short of disgusting in my opinion.
Agreed, hearing that your sister has fallen in love with a driver is not ideal... but why is the Modi family treating their driver like an dirty, inanimate object? Does human value, morals, personality and character have no value to Indian audiences? Is his job the only qualification of a good husband?
I would prefer Hasmukh, or even Dhawal, to a man like Ahem any damn day.
When Gopi "the wife" was entering the home, her career, independence and education meant nothing... because how well she prepared dinner was of more importance.
But for a man, education and salary trumps all!
Are these the gender roles we want to teach our kids?
Tell girls that being a good wife means being a good homemaker and being a good husband means making a salary over a certain threshold? Why can't women be independent and make an income? Why can't a man be deemed suitable if he is working a low paying job?
Such utter and complete bullshit.
SNS has permanently lost me as a viewer.
I believe all humans deserve respect... be it a driver or a gardner or a businessman like Ahem. We need to progress with time, not live in the dark ages forever.
Sorry if I offend anyone.
