i would watch this because its looking awesome the actors expression hard work is enough to watch a movie

People only care because the 'lifter' doesn't credit the original piece. At least admit to the fact if you are going to blatantly copy the story.

Personally, I like the Hindi remakes a lot more than the Hollywood originals.

Mohit Suri's Awarapan was loosely based on the South Korean film A Bittersweet Life and Murder 2 took the same plot as The Chaser, another South Korean film. I have seen I Saw The Devil, EV seems like a direct rip off of that film from its trailer, only that the love story is more lengthy in EV.

Quite sad actually, the afore mentioned films are two of my favourite Bollywood films, not just because of the story Suri has blatantly ripped off, but also the treatment Suri has given to the films himself. He is one talented guy, but he needs to give credit where due.

Those are 2 of my favorite movies in recent times. Honestly, he does make hatke movies and it's a nice change from the lovey-dovey and masala flciks.

But he straight up copies/ "steals" plotlines. I wish he give credit but he also adds his own vision to it, but most of it so recycled.

Like one of my favorite scenes in Murder 2 is when Reshma is finally murdered, she screams "Ma!" then there's silence and then Aye Khuda starts. It really tugged at the heart strings and that whole picturization was so impactful. Even Emmy's death scene in Awarapan and the whole Jannat epiphany was beautifully done.

However, his early works like Zehere and Murder...again copied. I think he's a hard worker, has a great year for music, introduces fresh talent in terms of actors/writers/singers, but he needs to be truthful and give credit where due. So I utterly agree.

Those two scenes you mentioned were so well shot and acted. That's Mohit Suri's touch, that he adds to his films. I agree with everything you've said, especially that he has a great ear for music, and talent in general, and he's a great director.

He has a knack for these romantic tragedies and he handles love stories very well, but he can't keep taking someone else's work, bettering it and presenting it as his own. That's just not done. He needs to start giving credit to those writers, directors and dialogue writers he steals from, I wish someone does something about it and these directors actually buy remakes and giving credit where they sourced the content from.

He didn't copy it? The second you watch the trailer you know that it has the same vibe as I saw the devil. The problem is not with copying it is with giving credit. The chaser is my most favorite film and I absolutely loved Murder 2. It wasn't as great as the chaser but it was still amazing compared to the hindi thriller standard.
