Arshiji, yes I too agreed with kumud to a certain extent when she said in just two brief and crisp words (neeyat and halaat) about forgiving people thereby indicating that an incorrigible born criminal like kalika should be punished. The debatable point is - Is it a real punishment for her? I think not, for a person who wrecked havoc in many lives. From desais' standpoint they wanted to free themselves from her, so they let her get away with her grave mistakes. The subtle difference between neeyat and halaat is a beautiful implication of why kabir, LN and even Kusum must be forgiven but not the cutthroat people like gumaan and kalika. At the same time their (halaat category!) faults too can not be overlooked because they made their own people suffer and pay a heavy price due to their gross errors. Are the so-called victims of circumstances punishable? - another debatable point. To my surprise for the first time I came across kalika's acting prowess. In the last two or three days she was brilliant and spot on, something that is the exact opposite of what we have seen in recent times. Her act thoroughly reflected her character's true inner personality clearly portraying various range of emotions without going overboard. Again inconsistency in her character in gumaan-kalika scene (courtesy-writers). It is obvious that she is a far better actress than gumaan and Kusum and she is not given her due. Let's see her off on this positive note. Nowadays we are mentally saturated with these big logical loopholes in everything the cvs write and show. Wherever it may occur (London or India) police easily condone a crime or offence even without an initial investigation. If we have to provide them with all the necessary evidence, proof or witnesses what is their duty or responsibility towards common citizens? Again an absurd idea by writers to give gumaan sufficient time to disappear along with menaka and again conspire against the family. I don't think we will see Danny-gumaan encounter and gumaan's role coming to an end so soon. P.S - shock of the day - kumudji put aside her mahaan tyaagi image and asked for divorce from kalika. By the way her BD in important scenes is not entertained.

It's very interesting that you raised these points about intentional bad and situational bad, so as to say.

Till Guman was portrayed as this all pervasive evil, I always felt her bad was more halaat and not neeyat. She grew up in a place like Chandni bazaar, and wanted a respectable life for herself, probably had a lot of resentment towards sharif men who patronized her yet looked down upon her

And so marrying one would have been her way of changing her fate. Yet even after marriage the scorn she had to face was humiliating. Halaat, a burning ambition, a refusal to stay down and accept defeat!

This was how Guman was when the show began, now she's is just crazy psychotic.

Kalika for that matter was also halaat, a servants daughter who wanted more from life, but she was always very badly written, and the very act of marrying a nobody yash to stay close to Kumud just for revenge was odd for an opportunist like kalika, even yesterday, just to wash away all audience sympathy she was made to speak that exit line, because as you said Soni did such a good job, that for a while I really wanted yash to forgive her

Even pramaad claimed halaat for his acts, his dad never loved him! The point is halaat and neeyat are always intertwined, after kabir did have criminal tendencies and the streak of cruelty in him, his way of exacting revenge shows that

So maybe the extent of neeyat and halaat maybe different. But all acts stem from the combination of both, and whether it's neeyat of halaat is also a matter of perception.

That's why acts must also be judged on their own merit, and one must bear their consequences! So kabirs forgiveness should not be so easy!

Really todays episode was all about neeyat/intensions whatever you call.
Good Kalika was thrown out of desai haveli as such I never liked her presence in haveli.
Moreover she was the main reason of Kusum's Saras obsession.
And yes finally Kumud mata realized that Kalika will never change and she supported Yash.
I thought Kalika will use her trump card that promise Saras made when Kumud was in hospital but she didn't use that may be she will use it later if writers remember that or It will also get washed just like Kabir's and LN's mistakes.
Loved Saras and Danny scene.
It was nice to see Saras comforting Danny and understanding what pain he is going through.
But I did not liked the way he forgave Kabir but he is Saras who actually apologized to Pramad for raising his hand on critically ill person so what can we expect from Saras?
Here his long lost brother we are talking about.
Once again he proved that he is such a good soul who always try to see good things in people.
Even Kalika also so many times threw herself upon him but he always gave her respect which any girl deserves.
Guman did so many bad things to him in his childhood and afterwards also but he never said anything to her and he always gave her respect as Danny's mom and his dad's wife.
And I am very sure one day he will forgive Guman also for Danny's sake.
I would love to see changed Guman who will love Saras just like her own son poor guy deprived of mother's love because of her.(It's just my wish)
What's wrong with these cops? as long as I know to file FIR you don't need any proof.
Now they will drag this again.
Chalo tomorrow LN will wake up atleast for some days they will show some light moments.
Enough of this rona dhona.
Hopefully Samud romance will be back.
Thanks for lovely bytes.

Trupti,in the original novel, actually this is what happens, Guman realises her mistake and loves Saras as her son later in life. But this Guman has been distorted beyond belief

She has been shown to be insanely evil so now her forgiveness seems impossible

Yes, I too hope that there will be some happy moments in the show, for some days atleast

As for Saras Kumud romance -

Koi Ummeed nazar nahi aati uski !

Hi friends, loved reading all your above analyses of yesterday's episode. Much has also been said about Jenny's bd. I think I know why she was absent from work. Happened to read in some chat rooms that in the last few days there were some really nasty accusations made against her in twitter. Some fans of Surbhi Jotyi were saying disgusting things about her in twitter. Perhaps she was so upset that she had sleepless nights and fell sick, so had to take medical leave. Anyone would be sick too if people made these allegations against them. I am a huge Samud and Jenam fan and thus felt compelled to explain this. So let's be understanding as fans. I am sure Jenny's colleagues. - Gautam etc, would be understanding and supportive towards her too.

Hi Linda, please always comment yah, I simply love reading your posts. Am new to this show and. Samud fandom. But from what I have read poor Jen has non- stop rumours made about her since a week ago. So maybe it really got to her. I know, I know that to be a professional she has to ignore these things and still perform etc, but trust me it's easier said than done.

Arshi nice bytes!!
It was a good episode. Specially I liked the brothers convo saras-danny was very good.
Kumud going against her usual mahantaa mind was greatly welcomed.
Kalika man she will never change. So what now she will regroup with her old BF pramad and reenter to take revenge from kumud ?? most likely!!
Guman ka to poora band baj gaya. I think its time her paycheck stops coming from SC.
My request to ph please bring back Kumari in the show. Now that Kabir babu is good and single very much ready to mingle will be interesting to see his chemistry with her.
Looking forward to the new track in SC to be unfolded.

Decent episode.
Especially the way saras talked to danny in the final scene was awesome. And Danny's pain as I said is being shown well. Been given the right treatment.

Danny-Kusum scenes too have been good.

I just wish overall writing improves. Not just a scene here and a scene there.

Right way vs Wrong way - That gyan presented by saras to danny didnt seem cliched at all. Was delivered well. Loved that scene.
