Addition in blue
Hi guys, am new here. I have made several comments but this is the first post I'm opening. So take this as my formal introduction 😉
I am by no means justifying Raghav but simply sharing what I see, so bear with me. 😊
Today Raghav proved that a person cannot change their perspectives, beliefs and personality so fast. He is what he is. He is passionate, one minded, calculative, shrewd, stubborn n much more... He did come to India solely for revenge. Yes, he fell in love with Kalpi and that feeling overwhelmed him, causing his revenge to be side-tracked. And he slowly tried changing his perspectives and adopting hers, but he hasn't changed for good. He was only in the process. He has been holding a grudge on the Kapoors for so long, and revenge is like a drug. It blinds you, until you would do anything to achhive it. Usually by destroying themselves.
Now, finding his mother and knowing that Sahil had killed his father and separated him from his parents, has reopened his wound. His anger is intensified and to add to the flame, his mother had so vehemently asked him to snatch everything Sahil loves and destroy him. And, in my opinion, Sahil does love his daughter (he always gave in to Kamla for Paaki's sake) and well, wealth. So he married or fake married his daughter and got Sahils property.
So, now the question we all are asking; "is love more important than revenge?" Well, in his head, he's not choosing revenge over love but revenge over marriage. 😆 He feels he needs to handle his revenge first, and only then he can move on in life. Just like how he felt Kalpi's exam issue should be cleared first before she moves to the next phase of her life. He views things as separate from each other, not how they may affect each other. He doesn't have much care apart from that Kalpi should know that he still loves her. Moreover, Raghav lacks emotional intelligence; he only sees weakness and how he can use it against them. Just like how he appealed to Paakhi's emotions and fantasies. See how he was trying to justify his move to Kalpi as if she would pat him on the back and give him a hug. 😆
People always feel that love conquers all, that love is above everything. This is usually true only against external forces. In real life the biggest enemy of love is the person themselves. People usually have conflicting emotions, that may overwhelm one another at different times. In this case, anger and revenge against the awareness emotions of a loved one.

rags chosin revng ovr kalpi cn nvr b justified... he cn avenge kapoors in million other ways... he s d grt raghav singhania...
he cd hv made dem poor by destroyin kapoors financialy thru takin away all deals etc... but to use pakhi fr so called revng diminished his mighty character a little... he cn nvr b justified fr breakin not one but hearts of 2 grls...

i knw pakhi is too dumb to differentiate b/w wat is real nd wat is not... but dat dsnt mean rags hd rites to make her tool fr his rvng...

moreover kalpi will nvr support rags in dis stupid rvng... she is too ethical nd considerate...
nd she will not accept rags too easily fr wat he hs done to her..

BTW i ws too wondering why he is bothered to tell her all dis... wat were his expectations frm kalpi????

Again, I am not saying he's right. Of course he had no right to hurt the people who didn't wrong him and Kalpi who loved him.
Raghav was and is a grey character. He didn't really care much for anyone but his own motive. He didn't even know how to treat his friend properly. He is anti-social in the sense that he lacks empathy and often doesn't understand how people feel and doesn't conform to social norms. All his time overseas, he must have been feeding his anger on Sahil and finally came back to carry out his revenge. He wanted to use Pakhi for his revenge even earlier. How? I don't know. So, from this aspect, it really isn't out of character. It's ugly yes, but is it unlike Raghav? I would say not really.

Very Interesting analysis.

It explains a few things to me. I was wondering how he was able to carry out his plan so emotionlessly, not sparing a thought for Kalpi.

His explanation to Kalpi did sound as if he expected her kudos and when she gave him what for, he did look a little taken aback. His expectation of receiving her approval was what brought him there.

I suppose he forgot all about Pakhi once the marriage was done and left her at the court to her own devices. Which explains why they came in different cars. Not that Pakhi was offended by this ungentlemanly behaviour.😆

Nice analytical mind you have, we can say this is what Raghav's mind is telling him at the moment, and for him he is right. But for us and kalpi, revenge didnt mean leaving the girl you claim to love at the altar, on her marriage day, leave her & her family to face insults! but yes, revenge did blinded him. so i can say I agree with your analysis.

@Bold: nice line...maybe thats what Raghav thought!

I totally agree with you. He had plans to use pakhi earlier also when he just entered india. He left that plan as he got kalpi in his life. Then we he again decided on revenge...he started off where he left it. He knew only one way to emotionally torture kapoors.
