Also, I think the film will be more women-centric. Hardly any reference to the actor playing Abel Magwitch and his equation with Pip. I would have imagined a prominent actor playing the part and his relationship with Pip being an important part of the film as he facilitates Pip's transformation.

I don't think one can predict about anything. I thought Main Tera Hero will flop, but it didn't.

No.. rather bcos I'm looking at it from a neutral perspective now. Earlier when Sushant was associated with it, I used to to be hopeful and focus more on the positives.😆

Honestly, GE is a slow book, I loved it, but a lot of people also called it a snoozefest. Even if it's a critical hit, a slow film has trouble recovering a budget. And this film is big budget. Critically acclaimed, slow films tend to be hits only when they are made on a smaller, tighter budget. And sometimes not even that. Highway couldn't recover it's budget despite being such a small budget film. I am fearing the same for Haider, which is Shahid's film. At least Haider has good actors on board, Fitoor has Kat. Critical acclaim pe bhi question mark hai this time.

Then again, maybe Gattu can weave some magic. He adapted KPC well.

Okay.. I want to add something more..

I think this film can work if they do not try making it like an epic serious, kinda slightly 'artsy' film.. like KPC, Lootera, or from what looks like Haider too at the moment. Make it like an Ashiqui or Villain.. a tragic love story kinda.. entertainment, high on emotions type film, and it has more potential to click with the audience.

The slowness of the book can be corrected by a tight 2 hour script..

They probably won't highlight this character early on. Makes sense to keep him in secrecy- it's after all this character who brings the biggest twist of the story.
