ok... that was really long one... I could not finish the whole article... Instead I got a gist of what author really wants to say. I think this is more of author's perception .It is like He is trying to take totally different meaning .. I can make that out with his interpretation of
"From Kunti's attending upon all guests' and that she used to wait, it is apparent that Kuntibhoja often used' Kunti to appease visiting Brahmanas and ascetics" this he concluded from these words in Adi Parva
"'In my girlhood, O lord, I was in my father's house engaged in attending upon all guests. I used to wait respectfully upon Brahmanas of rigid vows and great ascetic merit. "
It is not clear whether Kuntibhoja used to force kunti for this or Kunti used to do this on her own... I could see Author's intent is of going with first logic and perhaps thus he has tried to give meanings to other dialogues here.
A simple question wud be ..If author thinks that Kunti cannot have a son born of Sun. How can then Kunti have sons from other celestial beings.
Nevertheless it was different and interesting read thus thanks for sharing . I totally dont concur with views mentioned in that.
See there can be many ways of looking at things. I dont say Kunti was evil .. I only say she made some mistakes and in Mahabharat everyone has made mistake so whats wrong in accepting hers too. Going to topic , i think I mentioned already what I feel so no point in repeating that. Still its nice to see so many different views.
