"Mirror Mirror on the wall..." .
Director Wasim Sabir uses Mirror to beautifully depict symbolism's and alter egos in his story/ show 😊. He has done many more symbolic scenes but some how I saw lot of mirror scenes which mean something else. Here are few scenes where I found the mirror symbolism's till now.1. Shlok's Mirror talk pre- marriage : This is like he is talking to his alter-ego on how he can take revenge on Astha2. When Astha comes to Shlok's house for diwali he gifts her necklace and both are shown in mirror - I think this means Astha is in love with the image that has been created for her by him.3. Shlok's image shown in Suresh's glasses - his alter -ego and actual Shlok again.4. Shlok breaking the Mirror after Astha leaves the home: Its like breaking his alter-ego for ever and going on darker side? And he says everything is out in open , his hatred that is.5. Shlok driving the car after kidnapping Astha from her house and his image is shown in the car mirror.I don't know what this means but felt it is shot beautifully.6. NA and Astha: When Astha comes to NA to wish for divorce both of them are shown in mirror and normally ie., 2 images depicting both are in 2 mind sets.two mirror images of NA here could depict the positive opinion that Astha has about him in contrast to his true evil self.7. Shlok and NA: When NA comes to Shlok to talk about the divorce matter and to tell him to bring Astha back both are shown in mirror again. One more interesting point here again is NA is dressed all in white where as Shlok is dressed all in black. It is ironical that even though NA dresses to be pristine white his mind is completely opposite and he is evil-personified, irredeemable. Where as Shlok even though grey has that good traits in him and is redeemable. Both are shown as talking to the mirror which means they are talking to their images that has been created by each other. Well, who is playing whom...will be known probably at the end 😲👏 Nice interpretation here, loved itPlease add on if you remember any other mirror scenes or if you think these scenes mean something else.

Jia, Awesome post ! Loved it 👏 I have always loved Waseems use of mirrors that adds a deeper meaning to the scenes. One of my favorite mirror scenes, is when NAs abuse of Anjali is revealed for the first time, Anjali is shown sitting between two mirror images of NA, showing that she is trapped by NAs evilness on all sides and has no escape.
