I love this movie! REVIEWS ARE EPIC! And we didn't even get reviews from the real popular critics like anupama chopra and komal nahta and rajeev masand and raja sen yet...CAN'T WAIT!!!

Another GEM:

Yaariyan - Movie Review

Another teen film it is and should be trashed. It is all worse than shit. This sums up the film. If you have some more time, go ahead and read the full review.

The plot goes like this. Four good for nothing guys... a college in Sikkim owned by His Royal Highness...a principal (why Mr. Grover?)... Australian business tycoon...Sports cum Cultural competition between these four guys and an Australian team...death of a random cousin...Maa (has to be there!)...Hindustaan ki shaan...teenage love...saving the land of your college...and what not!

The film is as random as like this. There is no script...logic has been badly raped in this whole film (film?). You get all the answers to questions about this shitty movie at the end. Director Divya Kumar Khosala's little child says cut'...and you are like hands up boss, you can't beat it!

Let's talk about the young team in this film later, but what's up with seasoned actors like Deepti Naval, Smita Jaykar and Gulshan Grover? How in this world can they agree to do this film? None of them have a meaty role to play. All three are wasted, big time!

Now the young brigade, all the male actors act like complete newbie. Just couldn't find that sincerity in any of them, it seems like they are acting in a drama that is being staged in a school function. The girls are here solely for skin show, wear bikinis, kiss the hero and wherever possible show cleavage! After a certain point, I started ignoring this young n confused brigade.

The only saving grace in this movie are the songs (which again are unnecessary)with some grooving tunes, especially Sunny Sunny by Honey Singh and a few stunt scenes during mountain biking and rock climbing competition which are beautifully shot.

For stunning locations like Sikkim and Australia, the camera fails to do justice. So you don't even get to enjoy the beautiful locations.

I have summed up the movie at the start of this review itself. I give it 1 Shor out of 5. Avoid and if possible, trash it!

@kamaalrkhan I cant believe a film like Yaariyan is directed by a lady, so many cleavage & bum shots in the film.

Akshaye Rathi @akshayerathi

Our cinemas have been decked up to give the feeling of a carnival! And hardly anyone above the age of 25 is in there!! #Yaariyan @TSeries

Yaariyan

Summary

'Yaariyan' is meant to be many things as we keep discovering as we are dragged along its unending length.

Cast: Himansh Kohli, Rakul Preet Singh, Dev Sharma, Nicole Faria, Evelyn Sharma, Deepti Naval, Gulshan Grover Director: Divya Khosla Kumar
The Indian Express rating: *

Yaariyan' is meant to be many things as we keep discovering as we are dragged along its unending length.

A youthful college film. A patriotic film that waves the Indian flag in faraway Australia and our own Sikkim. A love story with a fresh pair. And a container for some popular songs. Of all the boxes it tries to tick, this exhausting two-and-a-half hour product does best with the last one. Because for the others, there needed to have been a plot. Which is non-existent. Yaariyan' seems to have been cobbled together from Main Hoon Na' and F A L T U', and Student Of The Year', even going back to Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar'. If you can find other sources of inspiration', please add in. The college is set in Sikkim' (because it is big enough to straddle the whole state, maybe?), and is populated by girls who are only bothered about their looks, and boys who are never seen with books. Classes, what's that? The studious Saloni (Preet Singh) is a behenji'; the other girls' are to be seen in hot pants and tank tops, looking as if they've stepped off a particularly garish ramp. Lakshya (Kohli) has a widowed mother and an Armyman father who gave up his life for the country. The hero's best friend goes off to Australia, leaving behind his teary mother (Naval), solely to be the victim of a racial attack'. Apart from making a comment on racism', some parts of the film are shot on an Aussie beach, just so they show us an Aussie lass (Evelyn) in a red bikini. A couple of moronic types pass off as teachers, with poor Gulshan Grover having to play principal' to this unappetizing bunch. And of course there's got to be that one mincing guy with a limp wrist : if I had to stop and count out the offenses, major and mild, that this tripe piles up, I'd run out of space, so I will leave it here. They should have just compiled the songs, a couple of them hummable, in a CD, instead.

YAARIYAN

death of stars

BUOYANT BOUNCY BOOBS CANNOT SAVE THIS SHIP FROM SINKING

Mini Review:

Give the men a decent haircut and a shave, and women some clothes. This film is strong contender for the Worst Film Of The Year award.

Main Review:

Imagine a po*n version of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Main Hoon Na and SOTY.

Where male college students are desperate to kiss their co-eds who dress like penny wh**es and pop lollipops out of their mouths in extreme close ups.

There are other college students who are willing to trade in their iPods to see their best friend kiss the lollipop girl.

There is Bharat Mata whose saree comes off on stage and the dying soldiers ogle at her large bouncy boobs and say, Take me to your bosom, ma!' and then she breaks into, My name is Sheila' or some such item song.

The same Mother India jiggles her breasts behind two tender coconuts for at least two minutes. The two male leads are of course shown to drink from the said tender coconuts

There are female teachers in sarees who expose a breast each (thankfully encased in what passes off as bling blouses) and behave like they've just discovered sex (or are desperate because of a lack of it). Their object of desire is a male teacher who makes sounds as though he's orgasming each time the female teacher rubs herself against him.

The hero is a young man with long unwashed hair and beard (to hide a weak jaw) and big girly mouth which is covered in pink lip gloss (either that or he's drooling). Yes, he has bovine eyes with long lashes. He wears purple pajamas and is happy to dance the pajama song with the girls (po*n Archie?). He wears multi-colored skinny jeans and transparent shirts (with metal studs) and basketball shoes with long tongues. Speaking of tongues, the kiss where the hero's mouth acts like a suction pump is the worst ever kiss filmed.

And it is even more insulting because a woman directed this drivel.

The story? It is told by a mostly stunned college principal (Gulshan Grover) whose job involves walking away from above scenes and then announcing: these students will represent India against Australia because they know our culture. Half the film, if you have not drowned in your own vomit, shows a terrible sports and cultural competition (many BMX bike type scenes, motorbike contest where women ride pillion, and a rock climbing contest where you wish for a repeat of 127 hours for the hero just so you stay alive).
There is budget enough to shoot in picturesque locales of Sikkim and Australia. I wish the beautiful snow clad town wasn't overrun with girls cavorting in miniature bikini tops.

We emerged from the press show wanting to hold someone and bawl like Deepti Naval does in the movie when she discovers that her son is dead. And yes, if you have a son, or a brother addicted to po*n, here is a movie that will cure him of it.

🤣

🤣🤣🤣🤣 This is absolutely hillarious.
