After KSG's exit; more drama in Qubool Hai; Shabnam Sayed quits over creative differences

The track of actress Shabnam Sayed(Shirin Rashid Ahmed Khan), Vaquar Sheikh (Rashid Ahmed Khan) and Shalini Kapoor Sagar (Dilshad Rashid Ahmed Khan) in Zee TV's Qubool Hai provided for a mature love story of a man married to two wives and staying with them under one roof.

However, the track of Shireen, essayed by Shabnam in the popular 4 Lions Films show has not been seen for a month or so now! And the track of the trio has lost focus all of a sudden, giving way to newer plots. And it also happens to be a fact that Shabnam Sayed has not been shooting for Qubool Hai for a month now.

We wondered why the interesting character of Shireen all of a sudden went missing from the show. Upon finding out, we heard that Shabnam nearly staged a walkout from the show owing to creative differences.

A reliable source tells us that Shabnam had been having a problem with her character's progress for some time. And when Shireen's character had to portray a negative shade in the story line, Shabnam had an inhibition doing that. She in fact went on to have quite a lot of arguments with the production house and also with the channel creatives. She started to feel that all the good work that was done on her role was being washed off with the sudden change in shade to Shireen. Though the creative team and even the Producer Gul Khan tried to drive home the fact that the particular track needed Shireen to behave in such a manner, the actress would not agree.

We also hear that Shabnam also had an argument with co-actor Shalini who essayed the other wife of her husband in the show. While delivering dialogues on a particular day, she had a problem with the nicer lines (when compared to what she got) that were being given to Dilshad's character. The two ladies in fact had a brush of words on the sets, is what we hear.

After all the chaos created by Shabnam over the creative changes made in the story line, the production house decided to give her character a break. After that bad day in office (where she argued with all and sundry on the sets), Shabnam has not been called for shoot. However, our source still maintains that the present track of the new Asad coming in and few other sub-plots will be given prominence right now, and Shabnam will be re-called when she is needed.

However, when Tellychakkar.com spoke to Shabnam, she said, "I have quit Qubool Hai. I will not want to get into any reasoning right here, but the fact remains that I have taken my decision. As of now, I have picked up a show on DD National wherein I play the parallel lead."

Shalini on her part said, "Well, all I want to say is that Shabnam had certain inhibitions as there were certain changes needed in her character portrayal. As for me, even though our track (Rashid, Shireen and Dilshad) did not shape up as planned, I am happy with the story changes that have been made. I am enjoying the present track wherein Dilshad has teamed up with Zoya (Surbhi Jyoti) in her fight against Mumani (Alka Kaushal)."

We tried getting a quote from Producer Gul Khan but did not get any revert from her. Channel spokesperson too did not give any response.
