Any man that insists on overpowering a woman and tries to disrobe her in front of an audience is a sick horrible human being. Duryoudhan is a symbol of people who chose to not uses their own brain and allow themselves to be controlled by the wrong people and their ego. Duryodhana equals villain plain an simple. There is no grey area. This article makes no sense...

Duryodhna/Subhadra thing is made up, not real!
it never happened.
Balram wanted that but no talks happened.

When pandu left for forest, if at that time he had a son as old as Parikshit, he would have been made the King.
Dhritrashtras line would be eliminated?
And while Pandu was away, Dhritrashtra was a regent?
Does anyone has the citations of this? How Dhritrashtra was made king?

It is all about one's thinking and mind set , Pandavas would never put Kauravas and Gandhari in a lac house and happily murder them.

Yudhishtira would Never even think of Poisoning his cousin no matter how rude and childish they behave, and that too was all Duryodhna, no Shakuni involved.

Even during the exile Karna and Duryodhna went to forest to make fun of the Pandavas living like animals wearing deer skin and all.
Even after all the humiliation and abuse on draupadi, Pandavas, it was not enough for him.

This shows that he takes pleasure from other peoples misery and despair. A sign of dark humor.

And when he gets kidnapped by the Gandharvs after that, and Yudhishtira tells his brothers to go and free him, instead of being thankful he hates them even more for doing favours.

And shakuni was satisfied with HP/IP division, instead of Duryodhna being influenced by Shakuni, Shakuni did what he could to please his nephew.

And wasnt there a story of Shakunis family being imprisoned and tortured for not informing them of the fact that Gandhari was a widow before marrying Dhrit.
Shakunis Father dying in prison at Bhishmas order and hence Shakuni going after Bhishma. He was happy with HP getting divided.
But Duri wanted more.

Very sensible answers, agree with you vitisha

Duryadhan was not portaryed as a white person in epic true, but then why the Gods showers flowers from heaven on him on his deathbed and why he reached heaven soon after his death? to understand Durayadhan we have to keep questioning our minds, why he was portrayed evil man! is it because he and the kaurava clan lost the war! and why after being potrayed evil still he is worshipped at some place of India..

bas yahi baaki reh gaya tha. a day will come when mahabharat story would be told, duryodhan would be the good and a wronged guy and pandavas would be the adharmis and villains. this article just proves it. twisting around facts with bits of manipulated truth. lol this article is calling duryodhan fair but they forget that he cheated pandavas all his life. if a cheater does something fairly that does not mean he is not a cheater. if duri had a right on throne, he should have won it fair and square instead of trying to murder pandavas or cheat them. the guy never cared for anything but his ambition and he is the good guy here?? duryodhan was pampered by his father to no end and bhishm never pushed him away either.if he wanted to use short cuts to achieve his goals, is it elders' fault? he could have won them by being good and caring. if this article was about karna i would have supported it coz he was def wronged all his life but duri was never wronged. he chose to go on the path of adharm and he paid for it. thats it. so far shakuni is concerned, he only paved way for him by his intelligence. woh to sirf duri ke ahankar ko hawa de raha tha. that ego and greed was present in duri since he was a kid thanks to dhriti who spoiled him by pampering too much. but that is no excuse for his deeds later on. so everything that happened to duri, was coz of his own karma not coz he was wronged. a guy like duri has no right to talk about being fair. his last war with bhim gave him a taste of his own medicine i.e. cheating. he understood how it felt being cheated and his ego got hurt.

@amritat my answers are in blue

trust me Duryodhan did not target Draupadi, bcoz she had laughed at him. Bcoz there were other women too, who laughed at him on that day. Did he target those other women too.?
The reason y he targeted Draupadi was bcoz, she was the common wife of all 5 Pandavas.
So, he hit the Pandavas at the place, where it would hurt the most.
Draupadi was like "One arrow, 5 targets". That is it.

Draupadi was the hostess, that's why he targeted her, why would he target other women? Draupadi invited him and then insulted, that's why Duryadhan's anger was on her

Duryodhan's ego n greed were more responsible for the war

Many things are responsible for the war..I find Shakuni's mission was most responsible. At his early age Duryadhan was Suyodhan (a very humble kid, his mama destroyed his mind)Shakuni tried to destroy the whole Kuru clan (to which he succeed completely) & that was the reason behind everything, and why did he vowed to destroy the Kuru clan that coz Bheesma abducted his sister...

@panchali I think amritat point abt shakuni was he did not plan everything for duryodhan as shown in serials.
duryodhan doesnot mean bad rather it means hard to conquer. so how him being suyodhan rather being duryodhan matters
and when did drau insult duryodhan.she did say abt the specific comment drau takes insult is not mentioned in book.so how come dury was insulted by drau?
