Well said neelum. Even I did not feel like posting today although I loved the episode and my HAS is at peak .
Dont mind Sam as I always appreciate your analysis and look forward to them. But the way you targeted your quote really hurt me.
If it was someone else I would not have bothered mentioning and would not have been hurt much I am sure, but I know you are a sweet sensible person and I for one felt targeted as everyone knows I am one of those who believe in shlok's love and why I feel hurt is because somehow I did not expect this from you.
I am NOT talking about your view of shlok but the targeting of us as a group. Hope I am clear.

Lachii, I am sorry about that. Wrote really quickly without even checking so I wasn't mindful. Will edit that right away. I did not mean to target.

Sam, Congratulations on finishing your exams. You must be looking forward to your holidays.
Very nice analysis. But does Anjali really always do what Niranjan wants? (your lines in bold)
Today, it seemed to me that she listened to the conversation, marched to Shlok's room and provoked him into going for the HM quite deliberately - something Niranjan absolutely does not want. She also looked satisfied when Shlok told her firmly that nothing would stop him from going to the HM.
Anjali's spirit has broken greatly, but there is a rebellion in her that comes into play. It seems that that rebellion is connected to Shlok. She submits (though reluctantly) when it comes to Jyoti, but it seems that she does not want Shlok to be another Niranjan.
Jyoti is one character who is one of the most strongest and sweetest character. Her will to live and her love for her siblings has survived years of brutal abuse. She is different from Anjali in that context.
Astha's strength comes from her background and there is only so much that she would ever take even from Shlok (she still harbors hope and hence her tolerance). Once she gains the wisdom to look beyond the surface, she would be able to rise.

Angie, thank you. I have 10 days of holidays so I am happy. But there's loads of work to do so I wonder if its really going to be holiday time for me.

Coming to your post, I completely agree with all your points. I was looking at it from the perspective of the men who are proud of their creation. Their ego has clouded their ability to see the reality. To them, they believe that the women are only rebelling to the point that they let them rebel. So technically, its not even a rebellion. But the reality is obviously different from what they think it to be.

Your post on the other hand, is looking at the issue from the point of view of the women in the house which very rightly suggests that they have not lost their individuality & sense of worth. It is their strength together with the huge ego of the men that will utimately lead to the Agnihotri men's downfall.

One thing about Jyoti - when she was first shown I never realised that she was so strong. But yes, she is definitely stronger than her mother because she still has the courage to dream of a free & happy life. And where there are dreams, one would be able to gather the courage & determination to fight easily.

Rekha, I don't have to be in love in with a guy to know what love is. Perception varies. And I agree. From my perspective, I don't see any love from him. Everything that he is doing reflects his huge ego which he wants to satisfy by tormenting her. The bigger issue that I've been talking about in my posts has been about his redemption more than his love for her. And I believe that he can't be redeemed after doing all this to her, no matter what his reasons were. Abuse is abuse and it can't be justified. This is purely my point of view and I don't expect everyone to agree with it.

agree samridhi. everyone has opinions. in my opinion the word 'redeem' is silly when it comes to marital relationship. once 'redeem' comes into play 'love' is lost. just like 'love' i feel that 'abuse' is also relative😕. perception changes from person to person, gender to gender.

'accept' is what complements 'love'. if aastha loves shlok, she would accept him. ofcourse shlok should be acceptable enough - less of a monster and more of a human. for now he is and thats my opinion.
