There are many similarities between these two warriors

Both are arguably the best warriors of their generation.

Both faced hardships throughout their life.

Both had to fight for adharma even though they knew they were gonna loose.

Their birth was UN-usual and even their death.

Both were involved in a couple of crimes [which they did not intended to do] which were the sole reasons for their death. ( Bhishma destroying the life of amba and keeping quiet during the vastraharan , And Karna calling draupadi a W***e and killing of Abhimanyu).

Both were invincible in war until Krishna or external force intervened. (Bringing Sikhandi for bhishma , Taking Karna's Armour, the three curses and Krishna and kunti's efforts ).

Both were the rightful king of Hastinapur.

Correct me if am wrong.

The similarities you pointed out are correct, I doubt the last one though.

And actually nobody killed Bheeshma, he died on his will. Shikhandi was just a defense, Arjun was just the cause. He died on his own will :)

You didn't get my point , I meant Bheeshma deserved the throne didnt he? did he get it ? NO

Karna was the eldest son of kunti, Krishna even offered him the throne doesn't that mean that Karna deserved the throne just like Bheeshma , Krishna even pointed out that if Karna joins the Pandavas Yudi would have given the throne to Karna happily.

Ok now got it clarified.. Karna indeed is the legal heir of Hastinapur throne.. If it were not true neither Krishna would have offered it nor Karna would have not been confident that Yudishtar would transfer it to him..

And to confirm this.. Here is what Pandu says to Kunti before he requests her to get a son of type 2..

Six types of sons that are Heirs

1st, the son begotten by one's own self upon his wedded wife;
2nd, the son begotten upon one's wife by an accomplished person from motives of kindness;
3rd, the son begotten upon one's wife by a person for pecuniary consideration;
4th,the son begotten upon the wife after the husband's death;
5th, the maiden-born son;
6th, the son born of an unchaste wife;

Six types of sons that are not Heirs but Kins

7th, the son given;
8th, the son bought for a consideration;
9th, the son self-given;
10th, the son received with a pregnant bride;
11th, the brother's son;
12th, the son begotten upon a wife of lower caste.

Disky - I dint understand the 3rd type.. If anyone can enlighten.. request to do so ⭐️
