Hi!!
am not going to take too much of your time as I know you guys are already fretting about the latest spoiler news about Jodha getting pregnant.
I will just give you my take on these three powerful ladies in Jalal's life.

Ruqiya: His first wife and his friend. She is an important aspect of his life with her he can be very open and frank but what do they discuss when they are together-- the state and its affairs-- So Ruqiya is more like a friendly companion to Jalal and the wifey bit becomes secondary.
And yes...there is her need of power and Authority which doesn't let her to be a true wife to him even still she doesn't have the guts to go against his order or decision.

Salima: Older than Jalal belonging from the same family tree as Jalal and Ruqiya plus ex wife of his trusted shah baba. She respect Jalal as a husband...for her he is her husband and as a wife she must accept and do whatever he says or order--- there is no other thinking of going against his will.

Jodha . A wife which is not Muslim and neither is from the Muslim Royal lineage from which Jalal and his other two wives belong but she belongs to the brave Rajput clan which are as Royal as any Mughal. She is brave, beautiful, intelligent and also have the guts to go against Jalal's decision.
It is she who is going to have a totally different realtionship with Jalal...and what would that be...come on!!!...Guess???? Well! she will be his lover...

Now you see for Jalal Ruqiya will always be wife + friend, Salima will always be older wise wife but Jodha will be his lover + his wife and his trusted friend.

According to history Saleem (Jalal and Jodha's son) was favorite of both Ruqiya and Salima and it was them who begged Jalal's mercy when Salim started a revolution against his own father whereas Jodha sided with Jalal...Also Saleem got married to Jodha's brother's daughter... who gave birth to Khurrum ...Did it tell you- How important Jodha and her family was to Jalal.

Also As per history it will be ruqiya begum who will get pregnant again and will give birth to twins but they will die soon after their birth...afterwards she will remain childless her whole life. Another thing Jalal will also have two sons from Salima begum as well ---thats also history whether u like it or Not :)

Very well defined history ... 👏
Well , you probably said right all about Ruku , Salima and Jodha ...
But as you say only Jodha can stand against Jalal's order , that's right too , and Jodha is so much sharp , she talks sweetly as well and also let the person go according to her thinking , and ofcourse in that manner she could get Jalal say yes for any of her decision

From what i read Ruqaiah, Salima and Jodha were friends of each other and struck together all life. Jalla also haded them responsibilities they were most capable off like Ruqu handled harem and childrens education, Salima handled court in his abscence with his mother Hamida and Jodha handled business activities as she was shrewd(ships to mecca, spice business etc)
Ruqaiah is that childhood friend of jalal with whom he can be very informal and speak his mind
Salima is elder to him by 4 years so there is respect and a line he cannot cross with her as an elder cousin and wife of his khan baba. Salima was mother of Shezadi Khanum his elder daughter born 4 months after Salim. Salima was not mother of Murad and Daniyal they both were born to his non royal wives(or cocubbines)
Jodha is from a different background and religion and is facinating for jalal as he is curious and her ways and customs. She also is more bolder in her ways than his cousin because she is brought up in that way. Jodha is more demanding and disobeying and forbidden fruit is always more desireable.

Hi myviewprem,
thanks for the info. I think the bond between the three developed after the birth of salim. I believe Jodha herself handed salim to Ruqiya as she was Jalal's first wife and he his first son. History shows that Salim was loved by both these ladies. And yes you are right about these ladies power in the court and Jalal's too much reliance on them. All three are very important in his life but like you I believe that Jodha did have a special place in his heart. though some historian say that he always favored Ruqiya bano...but I do belive that Jodha and her all rajput clan were jalal's favorite. I though Murad was salima's son and daniyal was Jodha's...but with historical facts you can never be too sure. Thanks again

Salim loved all three mothers Jodha, Salima and Ruqaiah. I had also read somewhere that Ruqaiah took care of Salim and Jodha was given Daniyal to take care off. But not sure about historical facts and proofs on this matter.
In school a couple of years back we had to present on mughal and my friends had gone to govt library to access govt docts
there it says murad is biby kheira's son and daniyal biby mariem(do not confuse with mariam uz zamani hira kunwari) whom he married in lahore in 1569 the year salim was born a nobel's daughter not from royal family khanum was salima's daughter

MUZ? see am really confused about the twins...they are mentioned in record but its not clear as to when they were born and who was their mother? I read somewhere that it was ruqiya but now i think it must be some false info? The historian didn't pay much attention to these details...dumb people 😉...and now instead of thinking about Jodha and Jalal's romance we r (at least I am) trying to solve this puzzle.
